Thus, anything done to hasten the destruction of this nation is a GOOD thing.
After September 11, President Bush decimated the Taliban, chased Al Qaeda into the caves, established an ally in Pakistan while keeping good relations with India, and averted economic catastrophe in this country. Democrats could only recover from his success by destroying him at all costs.
So lowly partisan interests of the left demanded the war in Iraq must be lost. Victory in the conflict would extract too high a political price for them. They and their allies in media needed America to be humiliated in Iraq, no matter the price to our nation’s security.
Democrats have yet to achieve the defeat they require, but we have already paid a price for their banal political interests. We have paid in blood, treasure, and prestige. This alone is cause enough for my permanent contempt of them, which every Democrat has earned and should count on in perpetuity.
And there is something even uglier in their treachery. The war in Iraq may not break America. Even if denied victory, which every Democrat has as primary unwavering goal, our nation might recover. Yet there is a price paid that cannot ever be restored.
Every American, who serves in Iraq, though they may not know this, is engaged in the most significant endeavor of their lives, no matter what else they do. There is a reason old men who fought put on their memorial hats, medals, some even their uniforms, and assemble with regularity their whole lives to commemorate the battles in which they were called to fight. War and its outcome lasts a lifetime; its effect on those who fight is indelible.
During two years working in the Pentagon and one year on a Navy base, I knew many veterans of the Vietnam War. Every one had something stolen from them. The same leftist political interests, whose most important agenda today is defeat in Iraq, denied them the glory of victory in Vietnam forty years ago. You can sense in every Vietnam veteran the loss they carry, having been robbed of such great honor they had earned.
Every member of the United States military today should find a Vietnam veteran and ask them what it is like to go through life having lost a war. Then they should recognize that the leftist agenda requires they be forced to live the same.
Of course, Democrats will blame President Bush. They will proclaim forever that he “lied us into war”.
But it was George Tenet, appointed to be Director of the CIA by Bill Clinton, who told President Bush that WMD in Iraq was a “slam dunk”. In October 2002, Tom Daschle demanded the debate on an Iraq War resolution, which most Democrats including the Senate Majority Leader voted to support.
Hillary Clinton stood in the Senate and said of her decision to support the Iraq War resolution, “In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program.”
Clinton then asserted of Saddam Hussein, “He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members.”
If George Bush lied us into war, then so did Hillary Clinton and a number of Democrats. If we were not lied into war, then Democrats today are trying to lie us into defeat. Either way, the leftists are trying to steal from our soldiers the honor they are due and on which they should stand their whole lives as they remember the travails of combat.
In the aftermath of 9/11, America left victorious would do too much damage to the agenda of the left; a defeat had to be arranged. We have no way of knowing if Democrats planned for the U.S. to be bogged down in Iraq, but it was not long after the war started before Democrats started using words like “quagmire” and “Bush’s Vietnam”.
If Democrats get their way, and they might, America’s Iraq War veterans will carry the burden of defeat their whole lives. They will pay the price and suffer loss for the leftist agenda. It was the only way for the left to survive after September 11.

With few exceptions, Democrats are cowards, traitors, liars and fiends. They deny and/or despise God and all that is Holy, they believe it is their destiny to drag down our Nation into dishonor and defeat so that they can build a socialist/Communist-style society on the ashes of our Constitutional Republic.
The Democrats wage war on conservatives, not on America's enemies. Democrats prefer to give aid and comfort to those who would rob, rape and murder us, in their view, criminals are the victims, and the victims (as long as they are conservative Republicans) deserve whatever they get.
Democrats believe that every day is April 15th, conservative Republicans believe that every day is July 4th, and RINOs believe that we need to 'reach out' to our poor, misunderstood, unappreciated 'friends across the aisle'.
And that's just for starters.
Anything to maintain THEIR political power: military defeat, blame Bush for everything, keep the people pessimistic and dependent on Big Govt for a hand out and solution to every personal problem, fewer freedoms, legislate from the bench, no moral judgments, no more "can-do" spirit (because ya just "can't do" without the Govt), etc., etc.
Is that too hard to understand?

It is really very simple. The overwhelming majority of democrats and a few Republicans in Congress are cowards.
Within the family or team, it's one for all and all for one, from each according to the ability to each according to their need. Very Marxist. Any child worth their salt would cry bloody murder if their parent gave their sibling millions and a life of luxury, while they were left to clean the fire place like poor Cinderella.
It takes a firm grounding in religion, history or other studies to learn that the rules by which communities, economies, corporations and nations best operate are quite different.
The leftists lack this grounding. Perhaps in a few cases they are well read, but they haven't learned to apply different rules to the world at large.
They instinctively hate the successful, the wealthy, the biggest businesses, the wealthiest nations, and in particular the modestly wealthy, big business friendly, leader of the wealthiest nation - President Bush. They go after big oil, big drug, big hamburger, big retail, big tobacco, big auto, big military, big anything. It's all evil to them.
They get spitting mad at all this ... It's just not fair!! If someone has a million times another, it is just plain evil! Nevermind that the only alternative is for almost everyone to live in deep poverty, poorer than the poorest American.
They live in fear, fear arising from lack of faith. And as all fearful people, they are particularly subject to rage, jealousy, envy and hatred.
They are the left. Their leaders have known for a century that a well taught, faith based, population is the mortal enemy of concentrated (in their hands) power at the highest levels. Their leaders have somewhat successfully worked to undermine the religious and educational basis of a strong citizenry.
We fight on two fronts - Islamic Jihad and Leftist Marxism. I don't know which is more dangerous, but I suspect that it is the latter.
The answer is very simple. The Democrat party is the communist party in drag (although their masks are beginning to come off) and their goal is, and always has been, to overthrow the United States government and replace it with a soviet state. This is what it's all about and before it's over, there will be another civil war, the soviets will be defeated, and we will get our country back.
Democrats want to be in charge,and they will do ANYTHING to get that power ,even if it means America's demise.With their latest vote the Dems had to nearly promise the moon to get some of their own people to vote for it.Something is going to happen,sooner or later, and the Dems will be unable to blame anyone but themselves.
There is a peculiar mindset, found especially often in liberals, that believes that anything that's exceptionally good, by its existence, will make everything else (including themselves) worse. By destroying the good things they can thus make everything else, including themselves, better by comparison.
So what were the Democrats to do ? Not Much. They were turning into frothing maniacal rabid dogs - biting and clawing at anything they could. And as Rush likes to say, descending into the first stages of utter madness. They had failed in everything else until then including their prediction about the economy.
So their only hope lay in Iraq, which unfortunately for them was out of their control. Well not entirely, but for the most part. If Bush was to be discredited, paving the way for 2008,** AMERICA MUST LOSE**. This is Bush's war, so America must not only lose, it must be HUMILIATED like never before - and if possible with body count in the tens of thousands. But how can the Democrats achieve that ? There are two ways that are obvious a) Force a withdrawal -- a withdrawal in the public's eye is a defeat because the job is still unfinished. And thats all they care about - how the public perceives it. b) Cut off funding. If you cut off funding then b) leads to a) and the Democrat mission is accomplished.
In conclusion, the Democrats do not care about America. They do not really care if America wins or America loses so long as they can reclaim power in 2008. But for now, an American defeat to them is a means to an end. That my FRiends is why the Democrats crave defeat.
I've never seen such strong words in print - except on FR. He actually called the democrats "un-American" and "un-patriotic" .. pretty strong stuff in D.C. .. and I loved this statement: "... this is truly, dastardly, diabolically - sick?"
BUT .. I HAVE THE ANSWER TO Kevin McCullough's question. In the book, "Legacy: Paying the price for the Clinton years", written by Rich Lowry, Rich quotes an article by Jacob Weisberg, titled "Clincest". Weisberg was marveling at all the incestuous relationships within the Clinton admin. Many of the heads of depts were Rhodes Scholars and 8 staff members were former Harvard professors. He outlined all the academic and social ties of the Clinton team, making for "the increasingly cozy relationships among press, law, academia and govt that now mark the Clinton era". Weisberg called this group a "hermetic and incestuous clique".
Rich went on - This elite didn't just feel a call to run the country, it felt it deserved to run the country. Then, Rich continued to quote Weisberg, and it was a stunning revelation: "They think of themselves as entitled to power in a way their antecedents never did" ... "the Clinton circle has a pronounced class consciousness that tells them they're not just lucky to be here. They're running things because they're the best". How could anyone reject the leadership of a group of people so intelligent and famously "conscience stricken?" In the Clintons, this sense of entitlement produced a deep anger at the fact that their ambitions encountered resistance.
Bush was not supposed to win in 2000. Gore was supposed to win and when he didn't the "elites" went ballistic. How dare the public reject those who were entitled to govern. The Bush-hatred is all wound up in these facts about the "entitlement mentality of the democrats". This is why Bush must fail at being President because he had the audacity to take away their entitled position of power. He must be rendered moot and a failure. That's why we have the hate-Bush all the time garbage. And .. frankly .. I'm pretty sick of it.
