[...We'll know an attack is imminent, just not the exact date....]
Kind of like waiting for the Lord to return "like a thief in the night".
now I see the genious of the democrats plan...US troops out of Iraq NOW!!! Use them to invade Iran!!!!
Anything is possible, ping...
PING
Good Friday? This would be a horrible date to choose. Not only because it's a solemn day for Christianity, but choosing this day would provide enormous fuel to the Islamic propaganda that this is a new "crusade". Whether it is in fact, or not, I don't think Western governments are going to do anything during Holy Week. I suspect the Russians are leaking some disinformation, maybe on our behalf, as a kind of final warning.
On the other hand, the actions of the Iranian government (the British hostages, Ahamdinejad abruptly canceling his U.N. speech) indicate that something may be relatively close to "going down". The Brits may not be trade bait for Iranian agents, but insurance against soon-to-come attacks (think human shields).
Look for Rockefeller to travel to Syria next week...
Good tag line there. The left-wing Democrats want us to deal with Iran by "assuming the San Francisco position."
The other indicator is the change in military tactics by the IRGC from regular tactics to assymetrical guerrila resistance by small groups hiding in the mountains. Once their main assets are possbily destroyed, they must revert to guerrila resistance methods.
Coinciding with suicide/homicide bombers against all US and Western assets worldwide to sting back.
At which time a nuke or two from Israel or from us may become a justifiable response and take place to snuff out the Iranian "candle".

Yeah, this will never happen on Good Friday. Most likely not until 4Q 2007.
You have an exceptionally fast-growing thread here.
Thank yew!
Fertilizer does that...
Capturing the 15 Brit servicemen as hostages makes even more sense now.

I always believed that the rights and wrongs are best discussed after the victory over a dessert, between brandy and cigar.
There are things on the surface that we can see and think about.
There are some slightly below the surface things that we get a glimpse of from time to time.
And then there is a whole bunch of stuff happening I won't know about in my lifetime.
Interesting theory.
