Former congressman backs Giuliani (N.H)
Manchester Union-Leader ^ | Mar. 23, 2007 | JOHN DISTASO

Posted on 03/24/2007 1:03:12 PM PDT by veronica

Former U.S. Rep. Bill Zeliff is joining Rudy Giuliani’s presidential campaign.

A source in the campaign told UnionLeader.com that the former Jackson innkeeper “will help with federal and New Hampshire issues as an adviser and will help raise money in Washington, D.C.”

Zeliff, a Republican, was first elected to New Hampshire’s 1st District U.S. House seat in 1990. He left the House after three terms and ran unsuccessfully for the GOP nomination for governor in 1996.

Zeliff has been a Washington lobbyist for the past 10 years, currently employed by The Livingston Group, headed by former Republican Rep. Bob Livingston of Lousiana.

where has anything we have written against Rudy Giuliani been untrue?

Spin, spin, spin. Notice the "WE" in your comment about? It's YOU but you just can't seem to own up to the 'HOOKER" comment you made ALL BY YOURSELF.

am fully accountable for what I write.

Of course, you are but you aren't owning up to it. Saying your 'are' accountable and actually taking accountability are different. It's Rudy's fault, mine, and the threads comments - with the 'we' comments.

Not into your spin game so you can protect your pride. Carry on with your mud slinging, if nothing else, it takes your attention off your own problem.

Yeah, but that little dog is just a blow-up doll. I'm kind of disappointed. Still, the thought of someone toiling over Photoshop on a picture of a blow-up doggie to paste it on a crossdressing picture of a Republican presidential candidate provides, well, a rare moment in GOP political history. I'm still not sure if that's a blowup dog or a blowup pony. It looks ponyish to me.

Tommy, think of the doggies (and ponies) before you do that again! LOL...

Okay, but I can't take credit for that picture.

You seem to be the one with the problem. You are incorrectly interpreting what I posted, in an effort to pick an argument. (This is a common tactic by the left.) I was not attacking Rudy Giuliani with that statement. I was making reference to the multiple worthless posts of all the insignificant (former congressman) endorsements of Rudy.

I know you are. You puritanical anti-Rudy people have such dirty minds, truth be told.

Wonder who of these foaming nutballs could cast the first stone? They are abusive and vicious and I'm amazed at the vitriolic posts they make when they don't agree with another Republicans choice of candidate. Unbelievable.

I wonder what Duncan Hunter would think of the nastiness of his supporters here. I doubt he'd approve.

Frankly, I think they are doing their hero more harm than good.

You come on a conservative website to promote a liberal candidate, and when you get opposition from the very people that Giuliani offends, we are the bad guys? Get real!

From what I've seen in interviews, he isn't turning his back on former positions.

On contray, he has backtracked on partial-birth abortion and public financing of abortion, softened his stance on gun control and is claiming to nominate strict Constitutionalists to the court despite appointing liberal justices at an 8-1 ratio in New York.

I was not incorrectly interpreting anything. EVERYONE is wrong but you! Your post was a mud slinger and you enjoyed it. Continue on with your 'no accountability and mud slinging - it shows YOUR character. Next time - in the real world - when you get some mud on you by another - remember you sowed that seed and don't expect them to take responsibility for it, because you sowed that seed, also.

Good Bye.

puritanical

They 'say' they are but their actions/posts show the exact opposite. What better place to come and try their dirty best to slam Hillary's worst nightmare.

Isn't it ironic? The most judgmental of Rudy's character are anything but restrained and well-behaved in their conduct.

"What has been published here about Rudy Giuliani is not true? Please give us any examples you can find."

Come on now. You've already been outed for surfing liberal and socialist websites (example: workingforchange.com and msnbc) for hit pieces on Rudy, and then posting or providing links to them on Rudy threads. Those are not the actions of an credible critic. Why are you so afraid of the 15% at FR?

Yes, it is one thing to discuss positions, oppose or defend candidates, talk about family values of the candidates, etc. But a select group, not all, in the antiRudy crowd are so crude and gutter bound in their comments about Rudy, while bemoaining the possible lost of the social conservatives with a Rudy nomination. They detract from the conservative cause in my humble opinion.

My views are most closely associated with Duncan Hunter, but he has 1% chance of winning. After listening to several Rudy interviews including with Mark DAvis here in Dallas, I support Rudy. I think he has the best chance to win and bring along with him in victory many conservatives in the house and senate that get swept in on his coattails.

"Cause they are holy, moral, God-fearin' people!"

And then you post a picture of a man who owns a castle, and 7 Mercedes, and picks up 20 dollar street hookers, and equate that with Christians, who are against Rudy. That is not Christianity Veronica, and you are a better person than that.....at least you have been, over the years. Please knock it off.
I am ashamed of you.

It's the essence of hypocrisy to denounce Rudy as immoral, while acting like two-bit gossip columnists, judgmental prigs, and epithet-hurling bullies.

Just as Jimmy Swaggart was a hypocrite, so are they.

I do not refer to everyone who is anti-Rudy of course, just the cadre that shows up on every thread, with the same tired charges and pictures.
