No, he lent his reputation to support the unsupportable concept of nuclear winter in order to push an ideology that proved to be wrong in the end (Nuclear disarmament).

Funny how under stable conditions the weather cannot be accurately predicted three days in advance, yet Sagan presumed to know what would happen under far less than stable conditions.

Maybe he should have shut up and went back to astrophysics, or, God forbid, actually taught a class or two at the institute that employed him as a prof.

Not the point. Saddam was inviolation of the 1991 cease fire.

Saddam toyed with the U.N. inspectors, moving and hiding his labs and "works in progress" around, never supplying them with any evidence that he'd destroyed what they knew he once did have.

Which is why he is now dead.
