Scum.
The parents are scum. And the doctor? Also scum.
Who diagnoses a 2 year old as being bipolar?
Very sad for the child

"At some level, I would hope that you'd also be teaching kids ways to control their behavior."
Insist on SELF CONTROL with KIDS and bigger kids, ADULTS and there will be NO excuse for these drugs to do it for them.

I knew by 2 that something was wrong with my bi-polar son, but
he wasn't diagnosed until years later.

Can children as young as Rebecca be accurately diagnosed with mental illnesses? Are rambunctious youngsters being medicated for their parents' convenience? And should children so young be prescribed powerful psychotropic drugs meant for adults? No, yes, no.
To: Responsibility2nd
Clonidine is a medication that drops bloodpressure.

"But Rebecca's teachers, the school nurse and her therapist all told police they NEVER saw behavior in Rebecca that fit her diagnoses, such as aggression, sharp mood swings or hyperactivity."
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Parents tired of the kid?
Have life insurance on her?
When kids are little, being ACTIVE and CHALLENGING you is TYPICAL - you don't need drugs as a substitute for SELF CONTROL.

A neighbor who lived next door to the family in the last month of Rebecca's life said Rebecca and her siblings seemed listless.
"They looked like little robots. They looked very lethargic," Phyllis Lipton said. "I said, `Wow, they don't look right,' but who knew?"
Perhaps in this CONDITION they are EASIER to molest?

Both were unemployed; they collected welfare and disabilty benefits and lived in subsidized housing. Michael Riley, who is also awaiting trial on charges of molesting a stepdaughter in 2005, claimed to suffer from bipolar disorder and a rage disorder; his wife told police she suffered from depression and anxiety. Since the Gubmint was paying the bills, it seems someone in Family Services wasn't doing THEIR job either

Saludos from Ole Mexico. Everytime I go to the USA, I am shocked that everyone thinks that enough and the right PILLS will fix any mess. I know many places here in Mexico were there are dozens of people that are 100 years PLUS and have their teeth, and they don't have a modern pharmacy within 76 miles. None of these people are on a cane, walker, no knee replacements, no by pass surgery, no Parkinson, Alzheimer's and little cancer. Why does it seem that Americans are so SICK.??? Doesn't take a 5th grade education in Bali to figure out this poor child should have never been given these drugs.

These derelict parents do not deserve to live. They poisoned this poor baby to death.
I hope the other kids have been removed from the household.
The dippy psychiatrist who ordered the drugs should go to jail along with the parents.
God help the little children of America!

That poor little girl ... no love was shown for her in her short life. Prayers for PROPER justice for her unnecessary death. May this little girl be in heaven surrounded by love.

Abortion, euthanasia of the infirm and elderly and medicating kids are all simple matters of convenience for the most decadent and self-indulgent people since ancient Rome.

Sick and sad.... :( The poor child.

Michael Riley, who is also awaiting trial on charges of molesting a stepdaughter in 2005...It sounds like they drugged the girl at night so he could molest her more easily.
