Thanks, sometimes I cannot believe it has been 10 years. Actually it will be 10 years around the 10th Anniversary of Princess Diana's Death around August 28 or thereabouts. The Nurses kept me awake, turning on the TV (against my wishes) for the continuous coverage after she was killed in the wreck. I am glad Tony is following the right protocol, he needs all the help he can get to stave off the Cancer. I think People's attitudes have changed a lot since your Dad had Colon Cancer. They talk about it a lot more and I believe this Month is colon Cancer awareness Month, encouraging People to see their Gastro specialist and get a COlonscopy, it could save their life. It does not happen overnight, you usually have a long History of Stomach Problems. You just have to pay attention. Tony is doing a good service by making it sound less grody, and he is positive and upbeat.

I went 3 weeks ago for my Colonoscopy. If I can do it, any one can! Mine was normal thank goodness! There is a lot to be said for "peace of mind".

Yeah, in spite of my family experiences with colon cancer, I did not understand much about it. Finally, my doctor and my wife persuaded [forced?] me to get a colonoscopy. Good thing as they found a couple of polyps. After, improving my exercise and diet [I now love fiber] I was able to go from a three year schedule to a five year. Early detection is a big key with colon cancer as it is with several of the other cancers. Get checked thoroughly and often.
