Based on performance, she doesn't seem to be a much stronger leader than Republicans had in Hastert. Also, everyone talks about how inarticulate President Bush is, but when compared to Nancy reading her pre-vote speech, he would be considered a great communicator. Even though I disagree with her position on almost everything, I felt sorry for her as she tried to get through her little speech. Even the sophomoric cheering and applauding by her always present pep squad could not mask her stumbling. I wonder how long this "First Woman Speaker" thing is going to keep her propped up.
