So your saying a solid conservative (Thompson) and a solid liberal (Rudy-In your opinion) can beat Hillary?

Rudy is the only one in the race who can beat Hillary, If Thompson comes along and offers a set of forward looking ideas then yeah he could do it. There are a few people not in the race I think could beat Hillary. The only people who can not beat Hillary are fellow beltway insiders (i.e senators and congressman).

He can call the segment 'stupid poll tricks'.

Great idea. Although I refuse to watch his show.

The poll questions probably went something like this:

Who is more popular in the main stream press?
Barack Obama
or
Mr. F. D. Thompson

It'll be interesting to see what happens if Fred runs and makes federalism the main theme of his campaign. I know there's support out there for taking power out of Washington and bringing it back to the state and local level, but it's such a neglected topic that there's little way to know how much support.

That's just one of the reasons I don't care about the poll numbers of a man who isn't running. How can we know how he'll do against any candidate before any campaigning has been done?

Don't know, but I don't put too much stock in polls this early on anyway. And I agree; Dems and DBM are in a near panic over the prospect of a Thompson run. Kinda gives ya the warm-n-fuzzies, doesn't it? ;o)

That... and two other points. The guy hasn't even declared yet. Nor has he run one single TV commercial.

Yet he handily beats Hillary and is within the margin of error on Obama.

Run Fred Run!!! Pick up Hunter as Veep... Or the other way around. Either works for me...

Does this involve a one-armed stripper?

"So your saying a solid conservative (Thompson) and a solid liberal (Rudy-In your opinion) can beat Hillary?"

I'm not saying either one. Rasmussen Poll says it. I just find it extremely interesting that a guy who hasn't even decided to run yet is already polling above Hillary. The Rudybots have been claiming for months that only Rudy could beat her. This shows otherwise. And the NRA and Pro-Life people haven't even begun to run their attack ads against Rudy yet! LOL!

Well.

Interesting results for an undeclared runner, eh? :)

I'm beginning to think Bob Beckel was 100% correct- whether or not he intended..

Of course, those of us who don't typically do polls would vote for Fred over Baraaaacckk any day.

"And Rudy would be Pinnochio?"

Yes, but all the Rudybots are now suffering from elongated noses, after their constant lies about Rudy being the only candidate who could beat Hillary.

LOL, the one percent is about 1/4 the margin of error and before the main stream media gets involved.

Fred or Rudy.....either one is a good choice.

It's the choice between a velvet hammer and a sledge hammer.

I prefer a nuke but we can't have everything.
