No doubt Iran will release them shortly rather then lose the goodwill of much of Europe and the American Press.

Looks like Iran wants a war.

A Vanguard class (trident) and a Trafalgar class (Tomahawk cruise) submarine is already in the gulf off Iran. . . .

The Iranians announced last week that they were going to do this in retaliation for what they claim is the kidnapping of Iranian military officers and officials.

So what more does Iran have to do?

Threaten Israel.

Thumb their nose at the UN Security Council

and now...

hostages.

The question is... Does the UK have any balls?

Bad move, Iran. Bad move.

Today, in hearings will the Dems still rally to defund our troops? They don't have a leg to stand on, today in light of this news. Prayers up for UK troops.

Sky News UPDATE:

UK Sailors And Marines Seized By Iran
Updated: 12:25, Friday March 23, 2007

Fifteen British sailors and Marines are being held by Iranian forces.

They were taking part in a routine operation boarding merchant ships in Iraqi territorial waters when they were seized by Iranian naval vessels.

The sailors and Marines had completed a successful inspection of one ship when the group and their two boats were surrounded.

They were then escorted by Iranian vessels into its territorial waters.

A Ministry of Defence spokesman said: "We are urgently pursuing this matter with the Iranian authorities at the highest level.

"And on the instructions of the Foreign Secretary, the Iranian ambassador has been summoned to the Foreign Office.

"The British Government is demanding the immediate and safe return of our people and equipment."

UK forces are allowed to board merchant ships in the area under international law.

More follows...

(Carried over from one of the locked threads)

Now that would be a shame. ;)

There are another 100 or so Iranian spies that will be with him on the plane.

We sure wouldn't wish anything bad on them now would we?

Of course not. Just a "without a trace" disappearance.
