No. Please don't make Christianity look like a cheap cult of insignificant predictions that never come true but are always embodied in the next deadline that, when it arrives, turns out to have been a "misinterpretation."
They said the same thing about social security numbers years ago. I would not lose sleep over this.
I once saw a 666 image in my taco shell. I ate it.
Perhaps a step closer, but I have a feeling we wouldn't know it until it happens.
Technically, some Christians believe strongly in Voodoo.
But you would only mention the fact to advance an agenda against all Christians.
Get a grip.

When you are required to have it in order to buy or sell then it will become the number of the beast for certain. Thn next logical step is to have it implanted in the hand or the forehead.
It's my understanding that the muslims have a tier system of those they take over. If you don't convert, then you must submit and are a second class "citizen". But for those who don't even submit get a mark (something like a tattoo?) and are considered a slave. Then there are those who oppose them and are just get killed. Am I mistaken about this? I've had it in my mind that this is the mark of the beast the Bible refers to.
What does the real ID act have to do with Nero Ceasar again?
Yeesh.
Um, no. Don't think so.
I believe that some of you took me wrong with my reply to my post. I'm not going to be around because I believe in "Pre-Trib" as the Bible states.
Anyone that wants my stuff, you can have it including bars of gold. It won't be worth anything without this mark.
My personal opinion is it can't happen until there is no more paper money,ect...Seems a logical first step..
This act does no more than take some power away from the States..
Why can't these people just go to The Home...
Second of all, it's obvious from context in Revelation that "bearing the mark of the Beast" means to worship the Antichrist as God: those who worship God have His mark upon them, those who side with Evil bear its mark. This harks back to the Roman emperor Nero, who lived in St John's day. Nero had himself declared the Supreme Being and required all inhabitants of Rome to demonstrate their worship of him by burning a pinch of incense before his idol. Rome's Christians, of couse, refused to do this, and were martyred as a result. Likewise, St John is pointing out that in the final days the forces of Evil will concoct some sort of deified man (or men, or system of men) that will proclaim himself/itself to be the Supreme Being, and will require all to worship him/it as a mark of loyalty. This is the final Antichrist. Then as now, the worship of any being other than God will remain one thing a Christian can never do. Martyrdom will follow.
(NB: In Greek numerology, Emperor Nero's name [NRONKSR] sums up to 666. He was one of the original antichrists.)
But a driver's license? Please. God is not going to refuse you access to Heaven for having valid Texas ID. I wouldn't let anyone chip me or mine, but that's because such a method of identification reduces a human being to the status of property, not because I think it's the dreaded Mark 666.
Bottom line: Jesus saved us all by His Passion and Ressurrection. Therefore, the only thing that can keep a person from going to Heaven through Him is that person's voluntary and conscious rejection of Jesus Christ not just in words, but by one's whole being. That is the unforgivable sin to be presented with Jesus as King and to willfully say "No, I will not serve." Short of that, all the chip implants and ID cards in the world aren't going to land anyone in Hell.
Unbelievable that people still believe this nonsense.
I would not be to worried about this the mark will not come until after the rapture of the church.plus the mark of the beast is implanted or tattoo into the forehead or the hands of the unbeliever.Without this mark you cannot buy or sell in the antichrist world or kingdom.
