My thoughts as well. It would be impossible to stay focused if that were the case, and I could relate to the decision.
I have a cousin who is facing a similar situation where it spread to her lungs and brain. She is putting up a valiant fight and seems to be winning it.....But it takes everything she has and it is very hard for me to see her and all the battle damage she has sustained.
Honestly, I was kind of surprised when her book came out in October that they both said she was cancer free.
When my mother had breast cancer, they didn't declare her "free" for seven years. Maybe they have changed the time now.

Once it gets that far, there's no stopping it. It took my mother last December.
