Be more like "Gulf of Green Glass" if they start anything.

What about those deadly tennis ball launchers the Iranians have in their inventory? Will they be using those?

I can hear the iranian navy officers now, "raise sail on the rafts, and prepare to shove off. prepare all tennis ball launchers"

It's probable nothing will happen. However, given the tensions currently existing between Iran and the U.S., the low intensity conflict going on between the 2 countries (see Iranian military personnel defecting/abducted, Iranian supply and support for Sadr, U.S. air patrol on Iranian border, IED links to Iranian production facitlites, etc) and the proximity these naval forces will be in(not a lot of room to move in the Persian Gulf) there is a possibility of an accidental(?) exchange that leads to the outbreak of open conflict

Central Asian countries get seaports! Good for everyone.

I thought that there was going to be a 3rd carrier in that area also , wasn't there another carrier dispatched to the gulf ?

Agreed that there is the possibility of an accident, either real or created, most likely by the Iranians. Personally, I cannot see that Iran would try to fight an aircraft carrier unless they think that given the present situation, we would not respond.

Iranian Navy and war games- what a joke.
It's nothing but a bunch of rag heads zooming around in fishing boats with outboard motors and a RPG mounted. Some "navy".
I can't wait to read about the Iranian submarine that sank after the opium smoking "admiral raghead" submerged, forgetting to close the hatch. The reason they have to surface so often is because the cook keeps burning curry, so they have to air out the sub, plus the raghead admiral has to check and see where they are going.
