He was intransigent in dealing with state-controlled entities such as the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey.

I'm not even a New Yorker and I know that Javits and the Port Authority have had questionable problems with unions and corruption and all that goes with those things.

I'm not in Rudy's corner, but I have to admit, the man does have a spine! That's one of the things I admire most about him as a human being.
