Until recently I did a "lot" of scouting. My son got his Eagle and I have been goofing off lately.

We seldom gave kids their Ritalin on weekend campouts or summer camp. We just ran them until there were too tired to be adhd.

Boys were just not engineered to sit around in a classroom and be nice and quiet. Some even less than others. This Ritalin is just for the convenience of the teachers and the parents. My 2 cents.

If you happen to be one of those parents or teachers that's good enough!

I agree. Ritalin keeps studs more docile, and that way they are more easily herded into the politically correct way of thinking.

Little boys with too much energy typically make great gymnasts. No kidding. (My father-in-law still holds the NCAA record in mens gymnastics.)

My brother and I were camping a few years ago in Virginia, near Harrisonburg, and in the site next to ours a Scout troop set up shop for the weekend. I swear, those boys were in their tents and sound asleep by 9:00 PM Friday and Saturday night. We commented to the scoutmaster about that on their last day, and he basically said the same thing you did, that they ran those kids until they dropped, hiking and rock climbing.
