Actually, Portland has been anti-military since at least 1973. The state isn't so bad; if we could get all the wackos out of the I-5 corridor.

Gosh, I hope they bought a carbon offset before they burned the flag.

and these people are letting their children watch these freaks burn effigies of soldiers and the flag? where is the child protection people at? This should be a crime in and by itself to allow children to witness this anti American BS. These people are a complete disgrace, the whole lot of them should be arrested. And defacing memorials, having their kids deface memorials. These pics should be on every front page paper in the country to show what blatant acts of anti American traitors they are. This is not free speech, this is Hate Speech.

Hopefully we'd be cell-mates because I would have been right there alongside you. It would be an honor to serve time in jail for relocating some of their traitorous noses.

"It does not take a whole lot of character or heart to do this but it does take a whole lot of character and heart to defend your country."
What a great statement. I'm trying to commit it to memory.
I'm going to bed now. I will say a prayer for your Marine. Thank you for raising a man of such character and standing by him now.
By the way, my heart breaks that these scum hurt you.

The Circle-A is a symbol for Anarchism, While the Circle-E is a symbol of Egalitarianism, or Equality.

Mine, too. I will die for that right, because without it we are nothing but slaves to tyrants.

Thanks for the explanation.
I wonder why they care about equality if they're anarchists.

You could think of a burning in effigy as a mock lynching. It displays a lynch mob mentality.

The picture isn't clear but they seem to also be burning a small Israeli flag in the background.

Another thought: since when does any community in America allow the burning of cloth and kerosene? That is some carbon footprint.

I wonder why they care about equality if they're anarchists. Good question, so I did a little research. If both symbols are present it represents Egalitarian Anarchism. I found a definition for this on an anarchist website:
Egalitarian anarchism = altruistic, fraternal, egalitarian, all for one, one for all or communistic, collectivistic, socialistic anarchism or libertarian socialism.
So I had to see what Libertarian socialism was:
Libertarian socialism includes a group of political philosophies that aim to create a society without political, economic or social hierarchies - a society in which individuals co-operate freely as equals. This would be achieved through the abolition of private property, thereby giving direct control of the means of production and resources to the working class and other unpropertied classes.
It seems a commie by any other name. . .
