I don't see the doc until the day before, and that doesn't give me time to cook whatever needs cooking, hence the post asking for help.

Since the surgery is next week, you can call the doctor and ask tomorrow. And you could also call the hospital's dietitian and ask any questions you may have as well.

Miztiki, get yourself some of those jello puddings, applesauce, cream of wheat, jello, egg custard (plenty of protein in that)I wouldn't recommend anything that is carbonated.

Call the dr office. Usually they give you a stack of papers to sign and read which include recovery tips.
