Oh man, when I saw the title, I was afraid it was Fred Thompson.

According to actor and comedian Richard Belzer-I stopped reading right there.

He needs an attitude adjustment. An especially mean drill instructor could probably do it in a couple weeks.

Whew!
I was scared to death that Fred put his foot in his mouth.
Thankfully, it was his liberal idiot co-star.

Law & Order SVU is one of my favorite shows, but Belzer really ruins it. You know he is crazy when Ice-T is the voice of reason between the two of them.

American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan are too uneducated to be expressing support for the U.S. military mission since they're just "19 and 20-year-old kids who couldn't get a job" Funny....most of the people in my 29E Radio Repair MOS training classes at Ft. Gordon didn't seem uneducated.

Belzer is seriously koo-koo.
I remember hearing him years ago on Howard Stern seriously contending that the moon was put in earth's orbit by an intelligent extraterrestrial society.
His proof was that the same side of the moon always faces earth which allows them to monitor us.
The only logical explanation he could see for this rather common celestial arrangement was the alien spybase theory.

How a man who could say something so idiotic is protrayed as a cerebral intellectual is absolutely stultifying to me. That's like me saying that I know more about medicine than a doctor because I read more medical journals than he does.
