A day after he implied that Ireland should not follow New York Citys example and pass a ban on smoking in all workplaces, Rudolph Giuliani called Mayor Michael Bloomberg to say that was not what he meant.
Bloomberg said the former mayor told him that he meant that Ireland, which currently has no smoking restrictions, should begin to restrict smoking slowly, rather than all at once.
He just thought that sometimes you go partways to get there, let people adjust and then go the rest of the way, Bloomberg said yesterday.
Giuliani said that it made more sense to restrict smoking to certain areas.
You are just now figuired this out ?
Why are we here? Because you haven't figured out a way to get Rudy supporters banned.
I wish I hadn't posted that I am happy about my state's smoking laws, because what makes me happy is none of your business.
And visions of being tethered to an oxygen bottle.
Believe it or not, I had visions of the tank many years before I actually quit.
The first plank of the Communist Manifesto called for the abolition of private property.
Wake up.
Gay unions, handgun registration etc etc.
hate crimes laws, global warming legislation, etc etc.
What?
A more accurate statement is that all non-smokers and former smokers want current smokers to quit, they just won't admit it.
The smoking bans are a backdoor effort to make the bars go away.
Give us another report a couple of years hence.
The feeling is mutual.
BS. I quit smoking about 15 years ago. I used nicotine gum and it took NO patience and NO guts. Just the desire to do it.
You have the nerve to call me a weakling? That is BS.
You said "I am thankful that my state passed strict smoking laws, it helped me quit." Those are certainly the words of a weakling. I worked with people who smoked and that had no effect on me whatsoever. When I resumed smoking it was because I wanted to and I have never entertained the notion of quitting again. If I wanted to I would just do it regardless of whether others around me smoked. I don't want to as I enjoy it without guilt or regret.
Stink is subjective, and you are incredibly rude.
Bans are "Freedom"????
If thats freedom then save me from it.
oops.. heh didnt mean to post that to you.. lol
OK, allow me to rephrase this: All citizens with half a brain want the government to butt out.
There, all fixed.
I would be thankful if the sorry bastards had just raised your taxes to equal the amount of money generated by cigarette sales/taxes and left everyone else alone.
There, all fixed.
Does Rudy still smoke cigars?
