March 19, 2007 -- SOME historians are already concerned about "Che," the movie Steven Soderbergh is directing with Benicio Del Toro starring as the Communist revolutionary. Soderbergh seems intent on portraying Ernesto "Che" Guevara as a hero, who battled alongside Fidel Castro to free Cuba from a corrupt imperialist government, and then was martyred by the CIA. Soderbergh will no doubt gloss over the six months after Castro seized power in 1959, when Che was in charge of La Cabana fortress, overseeing the trial and execution of 600 political prisoners. "To witness such butchery is a trauma that will accompany me to my grave," recalled José Vilasuso, a lawyer who worked under Che. "The walls of that medieval castle received the echoes of the rhythmic footstep of the squad, the clicking of the rifles . . . the sorry howling of the dying . . . the macabre silence . . . " Soderbergh had no comment.

The actors as well as the director should be forced to live under Cuba's dictatorship as regular citizens for the rest of their lives to see just how wonderful communisim is!
I grew up in Union City NJ, and I can tell you for a fact that the Cubans I knew there DID NOT love Che or Castro! I wonder why?
Chris Matthews kids wear Che T-shirts... he thinks it's great.
Andy Garcia, the Cuban actor, could tell people a thing or two about Che. In fact, he did a movie called The Lost City which wasn't received too well because of his depiction of Castro and Che, showing them to be the blood-thirsty murderers that they were.
The Left seems to run the motion picture industry.
I tell you, these people can't stand anything that doesn't fit their template. They're petty dictators who will take away your freedom in a heartbeat.
That was a wonderful movie and the soundtrack was outstanding. It just came out on CD. Everytime I see a kid wearing one of those Che t-shirts, I walk up to him (and on two occasions, her) and say, "Do you know how many of my relatives that guy killed?" They never have a clue. They don't know he was a killer. One kid told me Che is "the only one who will fight Bush." I tell them it is like wearing a t-shirt with a picture of Hitler on it, and walk off. If I can make just one of those little bastards think, I have done my job. Those protesters last weekend with the Che flags made me want to scream.
You got that right. Che is a blood thirsty Murderer! It never ceases to amaze me how Hollywood leftist go to extremes to spit on the American dream and glorify Marxist murders. I can only be consoled in my faith that good will triumph over evil in the end.
What I want to see is a CHE t-shirt with his most famous quote underneath it.
"A revolutionary must become a cold killing machine motivated by pure hate"
Certainly describes the anti-war demonstrators last weekend, doesn't it? The trouble is these people don't have a clue about history, were born well after the Cuban missile crisis, and think Che is "romantic," sort of like Jack Kerouac, only in Spanish.

Che - He's Hot, He's Hip, and He's Dead.
Two movies were made about Che years ago. One an Italian production and one an American production.(Jack Palance as Castro).
I told you to stop reading that rot...It is to be used only for the fireplace or peeling potatoes..
About 5yrs ago I saw a co-worker wearing a Che T-Shirt. Never liked this guy, but now I was really not liking him. I decided to see his reaction so I said "Who is that on your Shirt?" and he said, "Che Gueverra" and then turned away. The next day, someone came to me and told me that he was making fun of me for not knowing who Che was. I found him in the kitchen and said "Just so you know, I knew who was on your shirt. I just wanted to know if you knew who was on your shirt cause I couldn't understand why you would be advertising a murderer" He got really pissed, left the kitchen and never talked to me again. Thankfully, he left the Co.
