I thought the vets guarding the entrances to the rally took the right approach. Anyone could enter the GOE area unless they were carrying an opposition sign. The leftists made several concerted efforts that I saw to break through. Most were simply blocked, there were a couple of occasions where signs were ripped up and handed back to their owners.
In this particular instance, the vets were self-restrained, but they did take his sign and grind it with their feet. They blocked his way to the Wall and the commie tried to push his way past them. After about one or two minutes, a cop came over and made the vets allow the commie to pass because he didn't have a sign. (lol....not anymore, anyway) The vets complied without a problem.
At no time did the vets mistreat or manhandle the commie. They just let him know their opinions. It was a beautiful sight.
If any other Freepers were there, the commie was a very young guy with a green shirt and a dark city-boy coat. I was the woman wearing the Navy sweatshirt standing next to the scuffle and one of them stepped on my foot, lol.
