I'd really like to teach a course as to what feminism was supposed to be about and how it's now dysfunctional. Before the right to vote, women owned and ran businesses. They argued to have the right to vote and the right to own their own property when married. And they would take care of themselves.
This would have Miss Plame taking care of herself and if she had an issue, it would be up to her to let Rush know if this was a problem.
If he started describing body parts, I could see how a listener would have a problem, but there are two options: turn the radio off; and/or send an email letting Rush know he behaved inappropriately. He would take any reasonable comment to heart.
This perspective of personal responsibility is the complete inversion of what happened in the 20th century. Women who couldn't get along with others sought to control the lives and minds of other women. They assumed men were jerks. They assumed that successful men were bigger jerks. They assumed that if women were jerks, they would be successful too.
They assumed that men would hold women back and that no woman would be smart enough to make her way.
They assumed that government enforced affirmative action would help, not harm. But it undermines men, it undermines women and now individual women have to come up to the plate to work to undo the damage in order to be able to build teams and succeed in the workplace.
No that's true. I do read Howie Carr.
Hey, I have posted on the Rush thread maybe five or six times in total. Please, I am begging you, don't get on here and LIE. A "long" posting history....this is a lie, people.
Now I did post about Rush's Viagara thing once back when it happened. I really like to poke fun at him about this. What, Rush can poke fun at everyone else and no one can at him? Viagara is another medicine I think it abused just like so many prescription drugs.
I LOVE Rush Limbaugh. I've always taken exception to how he talks about women although I take no exception to his "feminazis" tag. He routinely calls women "babes" and other terms that, why the hell can't I say it, terms that offend me. Why can't I be offended like everyone else in this country? Which isn't to say that Rush should change because I am offended. It also isn't to say I can't continue to be offended and talk about it. To make up LIES about people is a very bad thing to do.
I am going back and cull all my posts on the Rush Limbaugh thread because I do NOT "routinely" post bad things about Rush. And I do not like the way he talks about women. I'm not backing down.
My name ain't George Dubya.....I DEFEND MYSELF. I always liked you MN even though we locks horns from time to time. Now I know how low you can go I have lost all respect for you.
IMHO, this was in no way a bungle, but a deliberate treasonous act in a conspiracy to unseat a president in wartime. The bungle was Ashcroft's in recusing himself instead of RE-fusing to go along with it, and George W. Bush's in allowing Fitzfong to be appointed after both parties had "agreed" that special prosecutors were bad things.
Of course, the naive republicans didn't realize that what the dems meant was that a special prosecutor for dems is bad, but for republicans is good.
Comey and Fitzgerald were both at Justice in the 80s and 90s and worked on the original criminal case against Marc Rich. They were opposed to the pardon for Rich by Clinton. Libby was one of Rich's lawyer and they've made it plain that they hold a grudge against Libby for being instrumental in getting the pardon for his client. A clear appearance of a conflict of interest as well as looking like they used the entire apparatus of the U.S. justice system for an act of personal revenge.
:-) I would take your snow in a heartbeat. If there is global warming, can't we buy some?
We have another snowfall scheduled for the end of the month, but the forecasts are so unreliable that many days ahead.
No, I am comfortable that he doesn't read FR.
"I can just see the headlines "CONFIRMED!! Payola on Free Republic! Robinson to be tarred and feathered! Video at 10!"
having seen a thread from a rep from ADS this week accusing some FReepers of being a paid mob this weekend and having been accused of being paid to defend certain things on FR myself...that's truer than you think.
It would be much easier to laugh at Murtha if he wasn't Chaiirman of the Appropriations Committee in the House..which puts his hand squarely in MY pocket...
AND he has a direct influence on what happens regarding the war and our troops through the funding.
Not only does it undermine them, in my old line of work, it gets people killed.
I heard his comments...can't repeat what I said about them on FR.
IT IS WORTH THE TIME!
below is a link- this is RAW- a REAL kitchen table conversation about the GOE rally.
I have several of these- but this one has not been edited in anyway- we all ate breakfast, cleaned up, and then sat around the kitchen table and shared...this particular link below is only one part of these conversations...
The voices you hear are me (eeevil conservative), Mr T, Mrs T, veeram, and rlmoral. you will experience some "dead air"- don't let it worry you- keep listening..these moments are moments where we are fighting back tears.....
it is just over 24 minutes long....
special thanks to MNJohnnie- who made these interviews possible...
this one below is called "Welcome Home."

Actually, I don't think Fox needs to go outside it's own staff...
I think David Asman is a terrific interviewer as well as show host.
Wow. I didn't know. I do get upset about firefighters and police who are overwhelmed because someone on the team needed a lesser standard.
Thanks for the link.
Pukin, I would NEVER overlook your brains or wit....just because you are gorgeous.
Specter is ALL about power for Congress.
If you only knew how many times I've been dismissed by Libtards in a debate as simply being a "mouthpiece" or a "propagandist" because I'm in the military and I'm debunking the crap that the Libtards are spewing.
It's completely ingrained in the Left that if it comes from a military member or the DoD and it goes against the latest Lib talking point...it HAS to be a lie.
The debating equivalent of sticking your fingers in your ears and going "lalalalalalalalalala".
