Pete Stark is just another looney like those that California produces with regularity.
The guy represents a coven so why should this be news?
I am not aware of any government program, any time, anywhere, that has given money to poor kids. We have, on the other hand, given lots of money to poor parents (mostly single mothers), a principal effect of which has been to encourage dependency and subsidize dysfunctional behavior. We have also given lots of money to social welfare and educationist bureaucracies which have largely squandered it. Apart from basic nutrition (Food Stamps and WIC) and Medicaid, most of the rest of the social welfare boondoggle has probably done more harm than good.
In his CD, however, I suppose it is unlikely that Pete Stark will ever be asked if he thinks our money is being intelligently spent or if there is a better way to crack the poverty egg.
Fortney Stark is a perfect match for the Bezerkly moonbats that he represents in Congress.
As are some conservatives. I couldn't care less about the man's belief or non-belief in the supernatural, what matters is how he votes.
