The American Dream - Through the Eyes of Mrs. Ron Paul
Daily Paul ^ | March 16th, 2007 | Carol Paul

Posted on 03/17/2007 4:40:39 PM PDT by Jason_b

I've been contacted a few times about writing a personal story of our family, because we have been called "The American Dream" family by people who knew us well. In doing this, it would have to start with the man RON PAUL, who saw the American Dream and decided that it could be his -- and now he wants it to be yours if you so choose.

I chose to excerpt because I'm too lazy to format it. Please click the link to see the rest, it's pretty good.

I think Carol Paul is a classy lady. I wouldn't mind having her as First Lady.

A shame Ron blew it when he voted with the rats to undermine our guys overseas. I voted for him in '88 but it looks like that was a mistake.

Dr. Ron Paul is a great principled man and is fine on domestic issues. But he doesn't seem to get it on the WOT.

I wish him and Mrs. Paul the best and hope that he remains in Congress for many years to come. However, unless and until he sees the importance of the current US effort in the Middle East, he does not qualify for the presidency.

He sounds like the perfect running mate for DH.

Ron Paul is already running ahead of Duncan Hunter and Tom Tancredo in the latest GOP Primary Polls.

Perhaps either Hunter or Tancredo would be a good running mate for Ron Paul!

GRPPL PING to a beautiful picture of two high-school Christian sweethearts, married young and still deeply and faithfully in love after 50 years: Doctor and Mrs. Ron Paul!

"Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth." -- Proverbs 5:18

Isn't it nice to know there's at least one Republican running who still remains faithful to the bride of his youth?

Best, OP

In 2008, I'm voting for the REAGAN REPUBLICAN.
I'm voting for former Vietnam Combat Flight
Surgeon, and Leader of Ronald Reagan's
Electoral Delegation from Texas: In 2008,
I'm Voting for RON PAUL!
"The greatest champion of conservative principles we have seen in Congress in the past quarter century."
(David T. Pyne, Esq., Vice President of the National Federation of Republican Assemblies.)

Yes, and there are candidates (and potential candidates) outside of the Republican Party, too (e.g. Jim Clymer and other potential Constitution Party candidates.

To: OrthodoxPresbyterian; All

Thanks for the ping.

Every time I read a "look how great julie annie is" article, it makes me appreciate Ron Paul all the more.

And, now for the "cut and runners";
We ousted hussein, did what the soviets couldn't and ran afganistan out; the MAN RESPONSIBLE FOR 9/11 is in GITMO;

What the hell more do you want? Wasn't that the mission? Get the 9/11 ringleader, and oust hussein?

What am I missing?

IMO, the "WOT" is being used as a convienient backdoor around the constitution.

Jim Clymer is a decent, intelligent, and upstanding Christian man -- of that I have no doubt.

However, as long as the Constitution Party's own web-page is running front-page articles declaring the virtues of Ron Paul, I believe we have an obligation to seek a "Republican-Constitutional-Libertarian" united Nomination for Congressman Ron Paul.

JMHO.

That is a nice bio by his wife. Very down to earth.

It seems we get a lot of comments on these threads about 'cut and run' or such. But most polls and some leading commentators indicate that voters have turned against the war in a substantial way. I think FR and conservative boards probably still have a majority in favor of the war. I'm not sure if that's true of the voting public. At least, not if you go by the '06 elections.

Could that be because the media is anti-war, not because it is the right thing to do? You sound like you're advocating the anti-war position just to support Ron Paul in that post. Is that your position?

Yes, it could be that. It also could be that the polls reflect the views (more or less) of the American People. Until contrary evidence is produced, it's just guess work on your part.

As to your second assertion, Do you know of any politician who is Pro war? Frankly, i seriously doubt that President Bush is Pro-war. Certainly no body who has served in combat would describe themselves as "Pro war". (Mind you, i speak of war in general, not just Iraq).

i can't speak for George W, Bush or OrthodoxPresbyterian, but speaking for myself, what war? The war ended in 2k3. The military accomplished their objectives. The fact is that the problems exerienced at the present time in Iraq is that we are using The wrong tool for the job. One does not use the military to "Win Hearts and Minds". NO! One uses a military to CUT OUT HEARTS AND SPLATTER MINDS ACROSS THE LANDSCAPE. You don't do "nation building" with a military. You use a military for nation BREAKING.

Mission Accomplished: </President Bush>. Time to go on to the next objective.

Back when JFK had just won, a woman was asked why she voted for him. She replied, "I like the way he combs his hair."
That's democracy in action.
No matter who is running or who is in office, we can always find something to complain about; their stance on the WOT, the WO(S)D or the WO__ (insert favorite cause here.) Just as with religion where no Church completely mirrors my views with respect to God, no candidate sees all issues exactly as I do. Therefore, if I really wanted to vote for the person who best represented me, I'd have to vote for myself... and so would a hundred million other voters.
So I use the L. Neil Smith test to decide which candidate I should support. As Mr. Smith pointed out, once you clear away all the crap, the only real test is his/her stance on gun ownership.

I'll stick with Ron Paul.

I don't mind telling you that what you are stating is, at least to me, a wholly unpleasant and undesirable way of looking at things.

As a matter of fact, the only minutely redeeming virtue I can find in your entire statement is... well, er... um... that it is True.

I just thought of a great campaign slogan:

"Ron Paul: The only candidate who actually WANTS his constituents to have more guns than he does."
