Yes, Al was supposedly a Tennessean who was acceptable as a Congressman and then as a Senator - before he dropped his pretenses and showed voters here what he really is. Don't forget that we kept him out of the White House in 2000 by not letting him have our electoral votes. If he'd had those, all the nonsense in Florida would not have been necessary.

As for Fred, he's head and shoulders above the other Republican candidates - and those other candidates probably know it. I wonder if there's already a "Law & Order" episode in the can where D.A. Arthur Branch leaves to run for a higher office? I sure hope so.

If they don't, here's a shot of Fred being head and shoulders above Chief Roberts!

(Incidentally, there is a movie in which he played POTUS but I don't recall the title.)
