"Thompson pointed out that many Putin critics seem to have become accident prone of late." Quite a contrast to our president, gushing, "I looked the man in the eye. I was able to get a sense of his soul."
That's the difference between Bush and a Reagan conservative.

That's the difference between Bush and a Reagan conservative.Bush cannot be compared to a Reagan conservative. Don't even try. Apples and oranges.

There's also a big difference between Fred Thompson and other so-called "Hollywood conservatives" like Clint Eastwood, Mel Gibson and Dennis Hopper who tend to keep their mouths shut on political issues.
Daniel Jennings has written that pro-Iraq Hollywood actors don't want to make their support for war public because it would hurt their potential box office draw, especially outside the United States.
Fred Thompson has alway been vocal in his support for our troops and the war effort. He has even filmed a pro-war commercial in response to Martin Sheens anti-war ad. Fred has no fear of losing his marketablity as an actor. He's a man of principle.
