LOL, so the CIA let Wilson write/lie an oped about his "secret" mission,

According to the official Senate investigation, what Wilson wrote in the NYTimes was not true. He reported something different to the CIA, making his op-ed not a leak and thus not illegal. Of course, the left (media, elite, 'rats and Wilson himself) continue speak of the op-ed as true.

"He got on the record the fact that he was given a list of questions that "could not be asked.""

LOL! Reminds me of the time I had to testify in a case of a convict who was suing me and another female correction officer, claiming we threw his Bible at him, and violated his religious freedom. The case actually took 15 years to come to trial, and I had already transferred to another facility and been promoted to Sergeant. Also during those 15 years, the inmate had been released and then reincarcerated. At the time of the alleged incident (which never occurred), he was doing time for rape, however, we were not allowed to tell the jury about that crime.

On the stand, I stated that the charges were false and were filed because of the inmate's hatred of woman. When I was asked by the creep's attorney why I believed the inmate's suit was generated by his hatred for females, I dropped the bomb about his being a rapist, and how he made us feel uncomfortable whenever we were in his presence by always sneering at us, and giving us dirty looks. With that type of behavior and criminal background, it was obvious he hated woman. I can't remember now if that attorney asked that the record be stricken, but at least the jury was made aware that he was a rapist, and that had been his crime. It was the first trial of the young attorney to defended us in court and he was happier than a pig in $hit when he won the case for us. I retired from the job 3 years ago.

One thing I'm curious about:

ASSUMING she wasn't a covert officer, it would not be at all difficult for those with the highest clearance - i.e. the Administration - to establish beyond doubt that she wasn't a covert officer. There is no information to which they would be denied access. And if she wasn't a covert officer, there would be no problem with trumpeting the information proving this to be the case.

So, if she wasn't a covert officer, does anyone have any explanation for why this wasn't done - or isn't being done as we speak?

"Westmoreland will be punished by the democrats and the media for that statement."

Then I applaud him for saying it. Screw the media, if they're no more than shills for the Democrats. We need people who are unafraid of the Democrats in the so-called news media.

Someone should ask her who she believes should go to jail for outing her and why Armitage and Novak aren't in jail.

She's up there protecting her assets. Those assets are plum jobs for doing the political hatchet job and the movie/book deals in the millions.

She has this uncanny ability to make wry little smiles at interesting times. She's clearly enjoying the friendly attention and milking it to the max.

It's daddy's little girl dream of dreams.

Novak was on Fox earlier decrying the farce of her claim as being covert.
Let's see her go mano a mano with him. She'd never do it.

Wilson had also already signed up with the Kerry campaign when he began to leak/spin his story, and then when that didn't get enough traction -- when he wrote that NYT "op-ed."

I thought the restrictions on some questions came from the CIA. Otherwise the hearings could not have been public. And the dems sure want the hearings to be public!

Not exactly, though it gets cast that way a lot, especially here. The Committee as a whole did not issue that part of the report. Those conclusions are from a minority report, and are disputed by others.

Novak has said that he filed his column that was published on Monday, July 14th, on Friday July 11. The Associated Press is who he filed the copy with, so anyone with access to AP material had all weekend to see the column.

I believe that this is how Russert etc found out about it. Now, from Plame's testimony, it seems possible that someone also gave ol' Joe a heads-up before Monday morning.

Does it seem to you tha almost no one has noticed this fact? It should have been hammered during the Libby trial. It came out in Novak's testimony, but seems to have been completely missed in the multiple giant time-line post-its in the jury room. Its implications are huge.

Well, why don't you ping Jim Robinson and get him to ban all of us who care more about the country than we do a single issue?

I'm sure you'd love that.
