Daisy Nguyen. Personally, seems more probable that Daisy is American, not Asian.

So, when "John Smith" reports on a European topic, is it because the Associated Press had to make sure they had a "European" to report it? (rhetorical).

You're getting too technical about this. What I meant is that the AP is such a PC-suckup, they had to have even a vaguely Asian-sounding name to slap on this story.

Actually, since i've worked with hundreds of East asians in my life, this sounds like a non-native to me. For example, one girl I worked with recently was 'Iris' Fu Yuk Bing. So if reported, it'd be Iris Bing. They take Americanized first names if their birth name doesn't really jive with English. Shrug, not trying to start an argument, just pointing out my experience.
