Does anyone know if this private plane would be considered Iranian soil and have the same diplomatic immunity as the consulate would?

Oh sure. Hitler was giving speeches in New York during World War II, right? The only way this should be allowed to happen is if they plan to shoot the bastard at the airport.

A nuclear bomb on the aircraft needs guarding. Think about this.

A dirty bomb to be left behind perhaps, to detonate after departure?

Or 25 suicide bombers fanning out from the aircraft to create a stand-off threat of "do as we demand or else".

Allowing a "private" aircraft here controlled by Islamic Iran is inviting nuclear /threat/blackmail/disaster.

Maybe a incident like that would speed up the approval process for going after terrorists. Hate to say it, but the lessons of 9-11, USS Cole, Bali, etc. have been long forgotten by the MSM-led masses.

Well .. the appeasers will have a fit if we restrict Iran in any way .. and then have another fit if Iran does anything to harm us.

We damned if we do and damned if we don't. So .. when are the repubs going to figure that out. Might as well do what's right .. because it really won't matter as far as the left is concerned - it's all Bush's fault.

...except in pieces, one would hope.

This arrival can be easily denied given the requests made by the Iranians. But WTH, let 'em get to mid Atlantic, past the point of return, and deny landing.

I agree with your concerns, and this presents a dilemma to the US because Iran is a member of the UN.

And I for one, do not have any remotely good answers to that dilemma.

Of course, if any those scenarios came to pass, they would easily traceable back to Iran regime, which would ensure their fast/hot demise.

meeting with NY's favorite home town liberal candidates. Hillary/Rudy-2008 /sarc maybe

Only one problem. Rudy would kick him out of Lincoln Center or wherever the heck he wants to go like he did Arafat.

Hitlery on the other hand would embrace him and kiss him on the cheek, just like she did with Arafat.

Sometimes the Rudy-bashing on this forum really goes too far. Rudy might be a social RINO, but he's NOT a terrorist enabler.

Excellent points people better ponder.

That Mahdi provoking terrorist worm should not be allowed in America except in transit to Gitmo to stand trial for war crimes.

Agreed, Rudy has really risen to the challenge at times, and nothing can ever take away from that, even if he is a social RINO.

Now that I think about it, we could probably find out if the airplane had any sort of nuke on it well before it ever got anywhere close to New York.

I believe that we have the required detection technology, and it is also flyable. And I know in my heart that if any airplane is bringing a nuke of any sort to the USA, and Bush knows about it, that airplane is toast, even if Pooty Poot himself were piloting it.

Regards,

Wolf

Bothers me. Why go to the US at the time of the Spring equinox - that's when the mahdi is expected...does he plan to 'meet him' in New York?

If Pooty Poot was the pilot for Haman Jr, and Bush took the plane down, all the better! :)

If "meet him" were a euphemism for "catch a bullet", I could get behind that interpretation...
