As usual I'll be voting against someone.

That's the case in most elections, isn't it?

Few or none of these career politicians would be my first choice.

What if McCain threw in the hat and gave his support to Thompson?

Just look what has happened to this forum since the Rudybots started pushing their boy. He may well lose (one can always pray), but FreeRepublic will never be the same again. For one thing, we can never again be sure we are talking (about anything) with people who accept the basic principles Jim Robinson set forth for the discussion.

Don't blame Rudy. That's the same way many of us felt when all the Californian Ahnold supporters were telling the McCintock supporters to shut the hell up!

You can complain all you like, but that still does not mean that there is no difference between Hillary and Rudy.

Didn't people like you say that a Democratic Congress would unite the GOP? I don't see any evidence for that, we're more divided than ever.

You were right, weren't you? And now the Rudybots want to make the whole USA into the left coast, and they plan on using that early CA primary as their vehicle.

And the other clinton, imo, is even worse than her husband

She's not "even worse" than her husband ... she's "far worse".

She's the most dangerous woman on the face of the earth today.

For some of us, abortion doesn't even make the top ten issues we care most about in a candidate.

Yes, we know, and so do the candidates, I suppose. That's why some of them occasionally give lip service to pro-life causes but little else.

Still, it's a jump from that to cheerleading about constitutional rights at NARAL meetings and demanding public funding of massive killings. You know the Burke line: "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." Of course, I know you don't care about that either, but I was talking about conservatives, not Rudybots.

"You can complain all you like, but that still does not mean that there is no difference between Hillary and Rudy."

I never said their was no difference between them, nor did I complain. I described what Giuliani did, what he thinks of his fellow citizens and indicated what he would do as President. He has no respect for Freedom, nor his fellow citizens, he's dishonest and I won't toss a vote for anyone like that.

I know you don't care about that either,

Saying that kind of stuff does you, nor your alleged purist conservatism, no benefit.

But the anti Rudy FReepers are consistent in their tactics, I'll give you that.

Didn't people like you say that a Democratic Congress would unite the GOP?

Yes. Back in the 80's.

Of course when you say 'people like you' you're refering to those of us with a refreshingly superior intellect, strong conservative values and an abundance of good looks and humility.
