The reason, if I remember correctly, why Rudy wanted to scale back the search for remains was that the WTC site was considered dangerous for the amount of people down there. And looking back, Rudy was right. With all of the lawsuits and accusations regarding the air quality, injuries and the like. Rudy wanted a smaller force as not to get too many people hurt.

Don't give me the B.S. that this union hack is trying to pull that Rudy wasn't compassionate. RUDY WENT TO ALMOST EVERY FUNERAL THERE WAS! IT IS A TOTAL LOAD OF B.S.!

I remember why the recovery was scaled back. I don't hold an opinion on that.

I do hold a strong opinion out of it being dismissed for political backings.
