The fourth anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq on March 20, 2003, will be marked Saturday with a rally, protest march and peace party in San Rafael. The event will begin at 11 a.m. with music in the San Rafael City Plaza and will continue from noon to 1 p.m. with a series of speakers including Supervisor Susan Adams.
The rally will be followed from 1 to 2 p.m. by a march through downtown San Rafael that will stop at City Hall for an address by Rep. Lynn Woolsey, D-Petaluma.
A peace party will begin at 2 p.m. in the plaza, featuring music, dance, art, food and more speakers. The protest will conclude at 4 p.m.

Marin County appeaser alert. Anyone interested in counterprotesting them this weekend?
Ugh. Ugh.
Tell them all to go to He....aldsburg.
Oh yeah...and they are going
to have an honorary 'Smoke Off'
..in memory of all the hippie
days gone by.
For those not in the know, San Rafael is part of Marin "Hot Tub" County, Calif home of numerous affluent Liberals, base of Barbara Boxer
I think if they stay on Sir Francis Drake that'll takem to San Quentin won't it? Maybe they can have a salad tossing contest.
It also happens to be the place
wherethe Legendary 'Smoke Off'
was held, between Pearly Sweetcake
and the Calistoga Kid.

Oh, brother. Aging hippy alert.
These people just don't get it. If the terrorist Muslims were in control of our country, this hedonistic/leftist community would be among the first to be destoyed.
Just the new ones that have moved in. Most of the old families (pre 80s) are conservatives.
They'll be holding hands and singing "Imagine" and "Give Peace a Chance" while they're shot where they stand.
Muslims don't understand English, and they certainly haven't heard of John Lennon, either.
Wonder what they'd do if one of those old hippy brothers approached them with a joint?
How about celebrating the 62 years we’ve been in Germany?
Or the same time in Okinawa?
Or the 10 years in Yugoslavia/Kosovo?
What a bunch of incomplete scholars. They got their
right to protest, but that doesn’t guarantee that
they are correct in their viewpoint.
