Love him as a DA on Law and Order and would love to see him run. Much prefer him to the RINO brigade. Thompson is the real deal.

So, who IS Fred Thompson? All of a sudden he's in the news and everyone knows who he is.....
The irony here is that Thompson has these "star power" credentials from his various movie and TV roles and, yet, he's the one viable candidate who doesn't come into the whole process looking like it's some political version of "American Idol". I like what he says and I think he's telling the truth. I can't say the same about "Rudy McRomney".
One thing about Thompson, is that since he was in the liberal "Belly of the Beast", Hollywood, is that he knows how the liberals play, he's seen it up close, like Reagan, when he was the head of SAG. That I think gives him an advantage.
