Duncan Could Switch Support to Thompson In Run For President
2:53 PM Mar 13, 2007
Knoxville (AP) -- If former Tennessee Senator Thompson decides to run for President, he will find more backers in his home state.
Congressman John Duncan Junior of Knoxville, has already endorsed former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney for president, but Duncan says he would switch to Thompson's side if there is a campaign.
Thompson said he is thinking about running for President after former Senate Majority Leader Howard Baker and Congressman Zach Wamp of Chattanooga went public with their desire to have Thompson run.
Former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist of Tennessee and newly-elected Senator Bob Corker also have hinted they would back Thompson.
Thompson was elected to the Senate in 1994 and served eight years. He is now an actor on NBC's "Law & Order."
Duncan says he and Thompson have similar views on many issues and he likes Thompson personally.

Go, Fred!

"Give Fred props on the pardon advocacy," What, like propellers, or stage props?

The more I see of this guy, the more I like him.

I got to hear a little bit of him on Sean Hannity's radio show yesterday and I like what I heard. He is very plain spoken about what he believes and it's nice to hear a politician saying the same things that I believe. Plus he brings a bit of star power to the race and doesn't seem to have all of the baggage associated with some of the other Republicans.
I do hope he puts his hat in the ring and runs. The primary race has started way too early for me, so I think he and Newt both have time before officially stating their intentions.

I particularly liked Fred's answer to the question from Chris Wallace- if Fred were POTUS- when would Scooter be pardoned? Thompson's reply: "Now".
Run, Fred, RUN!

Duncan Could Switch Support to Thompson In Run For President That would be a wise move on Hunter's part, as he has no chance whatsoever of getting the nod.

Love him as a DA on Law and Order and would love to see him run. Much prefer him to the RINO brigade. Thompson is the real deal.
