GOPNation.com: Duncan Hunter Ahead
The GOPNation.com ^ | March 14, 2007 | The GOPNation.com

Posted on 03/14/2007 5:33:27 AM PDT by bmweezer

In our first poll of the 2008 political season, Rep. Duncan Hunter has moved in front of former Senator Fred Thompson, 46-33 percent. In third place is a tie between former Speaker Newt Gingrich and former NY Mayor Rudy Guiliani. Our poll is open through Sunday, March 18, with the top 3 vote getters headed towards to 'playoff' in April. Our goal of this poll is to gange conservative leanings for president. If you haven't done so, kindly vote today!

Thompson would make a fine VP, as would a few others like Coburn, Inhofe, Sessions, Tommy Franks, etc.

I support Hunter for US President, and am willing to help him in the Connecticut/New York City area, if asked.

Freepmail me if you are with the campaign and want to talk.

And no, I am not going to go through the regular website portal. I do not do business over the web.

We prefer Hunter. A Hunter for POTUS and Thompson for VP would be a great combo.

I agree. Now throw in Tancredo as Sec'y of State and we'd be cooking with gas....

"he looks tired and haggard. I think that will work against him."

Politics will do that to a person. You should see what being on FR has done to me! LOL!

Thompson looked a little haggard on the Sunday talk shows also.

Give me some reasons why Fred Thompson should be considered. I know practically nothing about this man, except he is a Hollywood actor, and served a short time in
Washington.

Hooray! First Henry Hyde's endorsement, then Michael Reagan in favor of Duncan Hunter! Things just keep getting better 'n' better!

Regarding #13:

The national polls are at this point all a result of name recognition. This is why Hunter does poorly and McCain does well in them. In the end I'm sure we can both agree that the one person the GOP nominee is NOT going to be is McCain. He has simply sowed too many bad oats and nobody at the conservative base likes him.

I should state that I'm not a Hunter supporter simply because I think he has no chance to catch the pack. But I think he's a good guy and I hope he doesn't end up in too much campaign debt.
