Perhaps you're right, maybe I should be giving them the benefit of the doubt.
Maybe THIS time it will work, right? If Hugo Chavez thinks socialism will work THIS time, maybe this will too. Right?

As I recall, that superbly apropos one-liner was uttered by Senator Everett Dirksen, (R) Ill.
I admired that class gentleman so very much; and deeply regret that there are so few truly quality legislators in office today. A national tragedy that we pay dearly for.

The package of studies is intended to kickstart a discussion of major reforms to California's public schools but appears to make no concrete recommendations.I have a concrete recommendation: get rid of the damn teachers unions, and make the teachers actually show some results.

Bla,bla, bla. New. PLAN. REFORM. STUDY. REPORT. .....and of course, more money.
See you all in five years where these 'reforms' fail like the previous 'reforms'.

"Throwing money at it" won't solve the problem. You can teach in a tent! Socrates taught in a park. The subject matter is the problem: stop indoctrination and propaganda,
get back to basics.

It seems to me we just keep throwing more and more money at the schools and they get worse and worse. I would think the illegal problem would have a lot to do with it.
