If he is the "ambassador to free republic" then he needs to step up to the plate, defend his candidate and answer the questions. I think my questions are fair enough.

"Sincerely, summer -a FL teacher, and Jeb's [unpaid] Ambassador here on this forum for 7 years"

Do we have PAID ambassadors here to FR for various candidates?

My 2nd sentence said "fair enough", did it not? I was just giving you Hunter's own statement about not having to use consultants to create a conservative image. It speaks volumes.

I'm sure there are plenty of conservatives supporting Rudy. Wouldn't be the first time that a swath of them supported a flaming liberal. Arnie got a fair chunck of the conservative vote in CA. Hopefully we have learned a valuable lesson from that.

I love your dad's strong pro-life position, and the fact that he walks the walk:

Duncan Hunter: Yes. You know, I'm the author of the personhood-at-conception bill which right now has over 100 co-sponsors ...that would define personhood as moment of conception, so, it would allow us to have a reversal of the effects of Roe v. Wade without a constitutional amendment.

And I love the way Duncan Hunter understands the China threat:

DUNCAN HUNTER QUOTE: "Not only do we have a bad trade deal with China but they're cheating on the one we do have. China is cheating on trade and they're using our trade dollars to buy ships, planes and missiles. They're becoming a super power and stepping into the shoes of the Soviet Union."

I wish Duncan Hunter would team up with Bill Gertz, who wrote: "The China Threat." Bill Gertz is often a guest on many talk shows, especially Matt Drudge.

Do you think it is in the best interests of your dad's campaign to accuse those of us who support Rudy as not being "real conservatives"?

That's really not what he's here for. To settle our internal squabbles.

If you want my answer, I think both sides need to tone down the rhetoric and deal with the issues.

IMO,if you start asking questions like this, it's going to end up a discussion about the various camps behavior.

BTW, I stayed off all Rudy threads yesterday, and made no snide comments regarding him either.

I wonder how many others, from both sides, can say the same.

Please site examples where Duncan Hunter or those in his campaign staff have done what you have accused him of doing. Thanks.

Gotta ask...

Is your father pounding the doors of the MSM (radio and TV) for spots? Are the "conservative" pundits going out of their way to accomodate him OR ignore him?

And IF he is, is he getting rejected or put off by anyone specificically?

Can you divulge the attitude and level of support your father has in the Senate? The RNC?

Thanks in advance for some questions and hopefully some answers that have been gnawing at some of us.

I saw your dad on FOX News this morning, talking about the comments General Pace made regarding homosexuality and "don't ask, don't tell" policy.

If people here would see that interview and hear your father's response to that question, it would open a lot of eyes.

His response was nothing short of brilliant! I'll try to paraphrase it for those who missed it.

When asked what Hunter thought of General Peter Pace's comments regarding "DA,DT" and his personal belief that homosexuality was immoral, Congressman Hunter replied, 'If anyone has the right to use his First Amendment right by saying what he thinks, it should be a Marine who defends those very rights!'

He also covered the border agents (wants them pardoned) and said Gonzales should not resign.

He not only hit a home run, but it was a grand slam out of the park!

Well, I would say: yes, we do. Certainly Mitt Romney's people who post here are not doing it "for free." And, most Dem leaders now pay their people to do "blog outreach" or whatever they call it. (Remember the recent flap over John Edwards' bloggers?)

But, you bring up a very good point, even if you didn't intend to point this out: Unpaid relatives and friends of candidates who are here on FR, doing unpaid publicitiy, which I will call "doing good deeds" for th candidate, simply because they believe in the candidate, are much more appreciated by this forum than any "paid" politico ambassador.

If I were Rudy, I would have my wife here posting. Same for John McCain. And, in fact, if Jeb Bush ever runs for president, his wife can log onto FR and write essays about her husband for free for 7 years! I don't mean that in a rude way at all. It's just that we now know how much it matters to this forum to have someone like that here. And, it's a VERY time consuming task. If the families of these candidates think these candidates are so great, then, log into to FR and tell the world why.

Having said that, I am still very grateful for all that Gov Bush did to help teachers, and I am glad I was able to communicate that here on FR. Otherwise, people would never know all he did.

Yes, he was great on Fox and Friends this morning. Brian Kilmeade seemed to really like and respect him.

And I noticed Keith Olberman went right after Duncan Hunter last night. So, apparently Duncan Hunter is getting under the skin of Dems.

I didn't say Duncan Hunter or his campaign have done such. Other FReepers have done such and you know it. Those who are Rudy supporters are accused of not being conservative.

I want to know if the ambassador condemns or condones such remarks. If he condemns them, then good for him. If he condones them, and he represents Duncan Hunter the candidate, and Duncan Hunter wins the nomination, I might be hard pressed to vote for a person who doesn't embrace all flavors of conservatives. Therefore, I think my question is fair, and I would appreciate an answer from Duncan Hunter Ambassador.

Thanks in advance for the reply!

With all due respect, I think that Olbermann would go after ANYONE with an R after his name. And an "I" if its Lieberman.
