Savage is dead wrong today.. here's HAL profile
Halliburton Company provides various products and services to energy, industrial, and governmental customers worldwide.....http://finance.yahoo.com/q/pr?s=HAL.
Savage should do some research on the issue. Don't understand how he can be so right Friday and be so off base today
To: Kewlhand`tek
I think it's time today for Savage to shut his mouth & learn something about Halliburton.

Wow, that kid is not missing any meals.
(I'm waiting for a call, so I'll call Savage later about the PRS, or maybe I won't do it at all, I find I kind of don't care.)

there was an article here on fr talking about PRS's taxes. somepeople mentioned that savage isnt discussing it much. I think this summer Savage mentioned he had hired a woman to run PRS and he was excited about it,did that not work out for him?

Actually I've talked to him several times, but not within the last 3 years. I used to be totally into his show when he was literally the only true conservative voice out there. But with the Bloggosphere, plus lots and lots of serviceable clones on the radio, I drifted away from Savage.
I doubt seriously he would remember my voice though!

Savage should do some research on the issue. Don't understand how he can be so right Friday and be so off base todayThat last call was a long one as Savage continues his tirade this 2nd hour against Haliburton. Says this is the only issue that made him come in to work today.
Savage sounds like a lefty when he starts going on and on about Haliburton, that and the environmental topic tend to send my mind a wandering.

We have no legal basis to tell Halliburton that they can't move their corporate headquarters wherever they want.
OTOH, we have the right to decide not to work with them anymore, we have the right to state that by law, we will only work with American, NATO or other country with which we have a military alliance (such as Japan & South Korea) contractors. We have the right to state that by law if an American contractor moves to a non-Allied country we yank the contract out from under them.
From a moral view, Savaage is right but business don't operate based on morals.

You are correct! Savage is blowing vomit on the HAL issue.
As a stockholder I want companies to go where the market is so as to max out revenues and profits.
HAL's press release said they will still be tax-based here but I would argue that they need to go where taxes are lowest and benefit the stockholder share price the most.
Based on Hillary's threat to seize company profits of US companies, US corps should damn well be considering leaving the USA if their business is mostly non-USA activity.

LOL! That would gentle 'em down a bit, eh? At least they'd be too much out of it to be taken seriously. LOL!

That is a truly nasty creature!
I always like it when Rush talks about his visits to Afghanistan, he always says things like "We woke up to a delicious Haliburton breakfast and then..."

We have the right to state that by law if an American contractor moves to a non-Allied country we yank the contract out from under them. Damn straight! As far as I'm concerned, ANY American corporation that moves their corporate offices out of the country CEASES to be an American corporation. Whether people like it or not, Halliburton has (and is) making millions/billions off the war in Iraq, and now the suits stab the country in the back by, albeit legal, avoiding to pay taxes. For some reason, the Federal government doesn't care if American corporations pay taxes, but you, the average American citizen, try NOT filling out your income tax for this year and see what happens.
From a moral view, Savage is right but business don't operate based on morals.
You got that right, milady. It's part of the reason why our country is in the shape she's in right now.

President Johnson's widow, Lady Bird, did/probably still does own the largest persentage -- I think less the 5% IIRC
