Are Floaties and Noodles next?
TAX, TAX, TAX -- it never stops.
This is the law in Illinois and Wisconsin. I don't know what the charges are in Wisconsin, but in Illinois it costs me $12 for a 2-year sticker.
Read my lips! No new taxes! :)
They'll probably do the same thing to tooth brushes next. Believe me, there will be a price to get that sticker.
New Hampshire: Slogan- Live Free Or Die???
We are seeing the growth of what happens when liberals decide they can cure/help any little problem that should be personal responsibility with the money they remove from everyone who knows how to exercise personal responsibility.
We are beyond the slippery slope. Now plummeting down the fast part of the chute.
Live free er...um not.
rat mentality continues its path to destruction of the American life.
Not Ducky
Somebodies Having untaxed fun. TAX!TAX!TAX!
They will try and blame this on us "Massholes" as they so classily and politely refer to us, but we didn't have anything to do with this, unless they want to invoke the "last one over the bridge" defense.

As a bookkeeper, I would bet that the price of processing the paperwork and the sticker is $12 or more, so this is just a giant cost of money or at best, a wash of money. Employment for another group of paper pushers and a bopther for the public.
Next they will go after the kids on the innertubes. After all, those work both summer in the water AND winter on the snow...
Massholes?
Not only is it the law in Illinois, but the Dept of Natural Resources patrols the lakes and rivers, and if you don't have your sticker, they will impound your canoe or kayak. Taxpayer dollars at work in the Land of Lincoln!
Or at least rubber rafts and air mattresses?
Water Wings and Fart Bubbles as well. In fact, they'll throw you into the water and if the water rejects you and you float, you get taxed. If the water accepts you, you pay nothing.
If there's a tax or fee for kayaks, that'll be news to me and a lot of others I know.
