Excellent commercial, it is written to appeal to men.
I believe that if the U.S Army did a more sophisticated version of it here, that our young men would flock to the recruiting offices.
Good commercial. Unfortunately these sites dispense a tremendous amount of enemy propaganda, 'jihadi porn' as it is. our guys get their stuff out but there is a cost.

The problem is, that mixed in with the good parts, is the clear message that your girlfriend or little sister can fill in just as well as you can.
It negates the masculine appeal.
The Iraqi ad is made to appeal to the best of the masculine traits, what makes it so different to a western ad, is that it doesn't negate it's own appeal, by implying that there is nothing uniquely masculine required to be a warrior, that anyone can be trained to do army stuff, even girls.
We are not talking about a street brawl in all cases..it's a high tech and psych ops war in many aspects.

Sorry, but I am just not in the mood to go down that road this morning.
You are a conservative, on a conservative web site, you must know the warrior point of view on this, you must know that the anti military left are the one's that started this and the one's promoting it.
As a conservative your instincts should be to take a good look at why this feminizing of our war machine is so strongly opposed by our warrior class, even at the cost of their careers.
Hopefully your interest in this subject is because of your interest in warfare and the history of warfare and how to fight well, not some political, women's issues slant.
A few books to start with, if haven't already read them are, "Women in the Military", "Weaklink", "The Kinder, Gentler Military.
There is an endless supply of reading, stretching back to the beginning of the species to explain why war is men's work.
There is a little drop of politically correct nonsense written post 60s, arguing with it.
I agree that hand to hand combat is illogical for someone who can be overpowered. That is simply logic.
I will leave it at that since you seem reluctant to discuss the issue.
