I would call that a squad, not a platoon.

Typically, a squad would be about a dozen, a platoon would be from 40-50, a company would be about 100-200, battalion from 500-750, brigade around 3000, division of 12,000 to 20,000 and corps of 50,000 to 100,000.

These are generally larger than the typical US organization, and more like the European or Russian model.

In the overall WoT, the US and allied nations have killed perhaps two or three enemy corps worldwide, if you include anyone who has raised arms against us. Wounded and captured held by military or civilian forces and who have had or face criminal trial are beyond estimation.
