I Have Freakin' Had It
American Conservative Forum ^ | 03/07/07 | American Conservative

It is, officially, a crime to support the President and his policies. That is, after all, why Scooter Libby is facing prison time. In a nutshell, special prosecutor Fitzgerald knew that no crime had been committed from the onset of his investigation. He was made aware that Richard Armitage was the person who revealed the identity of Valerie Plame in the very beginning of his investigation. Rather than do the honorable thing and just shut down his search and save the taxpayers millions of dollars, Fitzgerald chose to use his unchecked power and find a Bush administration official to persecute. Libby gave that opportunity to the immoral special prosecutor by giving conflicting testimony before a grand jury. Fitzgerald pounced. Here was his victim - the vice President's chief of staff.

Try as he might, this was the closest he could get to the President. Lord knows he tried. He wanted the big fish, Karl Rove. But even the unscrupulous Fitzgerald couldn't hang anything on Rove. So he went for the best he could get. Libby fit the bill nicely. Of course the media, hoping like hell to get a Bush corpse to put in the impeachment folder, gave the liar Fitzgerald the royal treatment. Hell, you would think that Fitzgerald is a saint. He was doing the Lord's work and had one of Satan's minions in his clutches.

Fitzgerald, no dummy, picked the DC circuit for his trial. Since this was a political trial disguised as a criminal prosecution he needed a good jury pool. Trying to find a Republican in the DC population is like finding a virgin intern in Bill Clinton's White House. It just ain't possible. So Fitz got himself a jury that hates the Bush administration and proceeds to parade his witnesses before them.

What of these witnesses? I have never seen such a bunch of lying scum in one place at one time. Fitz's witnesses from the media couldn't remember shite or contradicted their own testimony. Hell, even Potato Head Tim Russert made an ass of himself with his recollections and non recollections. But never let facts get in the way of a biased jury. What was the point of this trail anyway? The verdict was pre-ordained. That was confirmed by the one juror who lamented the fact that they couldn't get Rove so he would just have to be content with Libby's hide.

So here we are. A man faces time behind bars because a rogue prosecutor bent on procuring a trophy for his mantle, with the willing assistance of a corrupt media, democrat henchmen and a hand picked jury from leftist central. A man facing time because he represented a policy and an administration that the leftists hate with an irrational, sick hatred. There is no underlying crime here.

Now, in the aftermath, we have the sickening likes of Pelosi, Reid and other leftist trash beating the pulpit and smearing the Bush administration with all manner of vile slander and hyperbole. The hypocritical, lying sacks of humus feel emboldened. They have Libby's head on a stick and are parading it around in the same manner as the islamic jihadists displaying a head they have just severed from the body. The sick bastards know that they have just been handed a wonderful propaganda coup by the vile Fitzgerald and the media and are playing it for all it is worth.

Where is the backlash? Where are the Republicans? How the hell did we get to this point? We have had six years of a Republican in the White House. We had a Republican majority in the House since 1994 and controlled the Senate the majority of the time. And today the Republicans are slinking in the shadows. A nut-less bunch of faggots too timid to stand for what is right. Who needs these spineless saps?

It is time for the conservative majority in the Republican party to take control of this rudderless ship. We have been sold a bill of goods by the likes of McCain and his country club, blue blood cowards. They have sold us out and would rather go along with the demoscum hoard as to stand up and say, "Enough." Enough with the leftist cabal's stranglehold on the political agenda. The Pelosi/Reid gang do not represent the majority of the voting American public. The leftist puppet masters who pull the Pelosi/Reid gang's strings are a tiny minority of anti-American; leftist, jihadist appeasing lump of cow dung. They must be confronted and defeated. We cannot count on the current crop of limp wristed Republican politicians to carry the fight. They have demonstrated that time and time again.

We must not fund the current Republican machine anymore. Money is the mother's milk of politics as they say. If we want real leadership to emerge in the once proud Republican party we will have to starve the current leadership. We must let them know that they cannot come to us the next election cycle and give us conservative platitudes and expect us to march like good little robots and pull the "R" lever. To hell with that. They do not deserve our support.

We must contact the various Republican committees and let them know that they can no longer take us for granted. We WILL NOT give them another damn dime until they stand up and shout down the leftist trash that are destroying this country. They must stop this onslaught in its tracks. Failure to do so will result in them packing their bags and heading back to whatever place they came from.We must contact each one of our representatives and senators and let them know that we will no longer be a doormat. They cannot walk on us any longer. We are calling the shots now and if they don't stand up and represent us, then to hell with them.

The Scooter Libby verdict is the last in a long line of the leftist cabal's chicanery. It must be the last act of these animals. Our Republican politicians must stand and draw a line in the sand. The scum can no longer be allowed to set one foot over that line. We are more powerful than them. We have more numbers than them. We must unite in our resolve to wrest control of the Republican party from the cowards. DO NOT give support to any member of the party until the party declares war on the anti-American trash. They must fear us and our wrath more than they fear unfavorable press or their foursome on the golf course.

We can only accomplish this if we as conservatives are united. We must, as the largest block in the Republican party, make them pay attention and do as we wish. We hold the power in this party. They must respect our demands.

I am not naive enough to think that this little podunk forum can start a national movement. But each one of us know many people. We must spur every conservative we know into action. Each of us and each of our acquaintances must contact our Republican politicians and their committees and demand that they act with some testicular fortitude. If we don't, we lose this great nation.

So get off your asses and get busy. Resolve to take back the Republican party from the girly men who use it for their own purposes. This country cannot afford to let the leftist swine run roughshod over it. Our freedom and our security depend on our actions. If anyone has any ideas about how to trigger a mass movement of conservatives, post them here. Put links to this blog entry at all of your internet haunts so that we can be a clearinghouse of ideas and action. Our country needs us. Get mad as hell about the leftist onslaught and take action. We must not abandon our responsibility as citizens of the greatest nation the planet has ever seen.

I should have been more alert when he ran in 2000 as a "compassionate conservative".

In retrospect, I should have realized when a presidential candidate uses these words, it means "Hide the checkbook!"

Of course, I had to vote for him, considering the fact that Gore was a million times worse. But I'm not going to roll over in 2008 and give Giuliani the Liberal my vote, even if the alternative is Hillary. I've gone third party before, I'll go third party again.

Good luck. Third parties aren't viable enough to change the political landscape, aside from unjustifiably handing over the keys to power to the minority party.

Of all the leftie escapades, The Sandy Burgler caper makes me the angriest. There are lots of military folks on these threads and many of us were in charge of classified materials..As a Custodian of highly classified materials on more than one occasion, I can tell you all hell would break lose if I lost one page out of one document let alone leave my "cage" in order to let someone read classified documents in private.
The investigators should have not only gone after Burgler but the custodians as well...and they all should be sitting in Leavenworth.

Maybe the poor guy has gone a little nuts and thinks he making up for not doing much (if anything) to stop the 9/11 attacks?

Triple Cross: How bin Laden's Master Spy Penetrated the CIA, the Green Berets, and the FBI--and Why Patrick Fitzgerald Failed to Stop Him by Peter Lance

Yes, I know about Lance's connections to Huffin' Puff post -- but I believe that he's done a good job of connecting dots throughout the 1990s despite that. And ues he's no fan of "Bush 41" and "Bush 43" -- and yes he won't mention any "President Clinton" connections unless asked.

But he's got IMO perhaps the best explantions for 9/11 and lots more.

"That doesn't mean you should be a stupid hothead and stop supporting Republicans."
This is MrConservative, the author of the blog entry that is being discussed. Doc-Joe loaned me his log in to reply.

I do not consider that I am a stupid hothead and reacting in a knee jerk manner. I have been a conservative most of my life and a Republican supporter in general. I have contributed time and money to the Republican party for the past 30 years. I have worked hard for the Republican party.

I was with them before Reagan won the presidency when it looked like we would be a minority party forever. I rejoiced when Reagan got elected and the conservative ideology was front and center. I worked my butt off in 94 when we took congress. I was steadfast when the pants dropper was in office and worked for the election of the next Republican president.

What happened to our leadership? They abandoned conservatism. Now they are afraid to stand up. They take their base for granted. I am not saying we abandon the Republican party. I am saying we regain control of the Republican party. We can do that if we withhold support from those who have gone astray. I guarantee you that if their donations tank, they will wake up and find their testicles.

If we just continue business as usual, they have no reason to stand up. This is not stupid. This is common sense. Stupid is when you keep doing the same thing and expect a different result.

I'll bet your career Marine friends would tell you this is not the same America for which they took the oath to support and defend against all enemies foreign and domestic. I took that oath too, many times.. I think we have domestic enemies to fight now.

If you quit them, you have Hillary! or someone just as bad who will take a badly flawed judicial system and turn it into a Soviet style justice system. THink about it.

You misunderstand. It is not "quitting them." Although, they seem to have quit us... The witholding of support being suggested is a temporary measure. As soon as the flow of campaign funds starts to ebb, candidates will hopefully have a "come to Jesus" moment.

RE: Peter Lance and the book, Triple Cross

I've heard a few long interviews with Mr. Lance. He is NOT one of those "Bush did it" kooks.

All government connections are strictly due to covering their butts for one foul up after another throughout the 1990s.

As I said above, he does not like the presidents Bush and freely disparages them throughout his interviews but won't mention Clinton unless the interviewer asks about Clinton. He acknowledges that Clinton is equally to blame but you have to ask to get it out of him. That's why I won't buy the book but he has done a hell of job with it. IMO.

"If you quit them, you have Hillary!"

Who the hell is saying quit them? I have pointedly said we have to regain control of the party. Are you telling me that we don't have any better than the spineless cowards who are calling the shots now? If that is the case, we are screwed. There are many in the party that are "real" conservatives. We line up behind them. We starve the RINOS and fed the conservatives. When they see their coffers drying up and those who have some gonads coffers running over, they will get the message.

Hillary doesn't stand a chance against a real conservative. If we put up a dem lite, people will vote for the real McCoy and then we will be screwed. I will not follow McCain off the freakin' cliff. I am going to work to change this party.

Not true. If the third party receives sufficient votes then party leaders and candidates take notice. As a result positions, and more importantly, votes, change.

"I fear all we have done is awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve."

Several years later we dropped an atomic bomb. Figuratively speaking .. this is what we must do .. but it can't take YEARS AND YEARS because the longer the dems are in office - the worse it's going to be.

I'm so busy now .. I really don't want to take the time .. but I can't stand what the dems are doing and I'm ready to hit the trenches. What on earth can we do NOW to get the ball rolling ..??

Ideas .. we need ideas. A letter writing campaign - an email campaign (that means sending the message over and over and over - until it gets some attention.

The Sandy Burgler caper

Yes that is a betrayal of trust from Bergler that is right up there with the worst of America in the last 30 years.

And extreme negligence on the part of the custodians. And in that, they are complicit with his treasonous works.

We really do need to do something about everything that is going on in our nation! So many lies being told; news journalists "openly declaring political sides"---this is unbelievable. The moment I hear a commentator on TV siding with a particular party---I turn the channel! The Republican party has turned it's backs on us, it's followers. However, that does not mean I would ever switch parties. But I do like the idea of letting as many in the Republican party as possible know that we WILL NOT SUPPORT THEM UNTIL THEY START "FIGHTING BACK"!!!

I am so sick of all this "you might offend someone" speech by the liberals! Guess what? I'm sure, in some way, I "offend" someone every day of my life. But, in no way, am I going to walk on eggshells for any group, religion, or peoples of the world! AS A COUNTRY, WE ARE BECOMING TOO S-O-F-T! And this will lead to our own downfall. I DO NOT want to become like Europe, thank you very much. Has anyone thought of starting a "petition" to send to the Republican party headquarters---signed by Republicans???

I saw Peter Lance on CSPAN2 Book Notes recently, he gave a detailed talk explaining connections between terrorists and how they had been missed over the years. He clearly mentioned Fitzgerald a couple of times as dropping the ball when he investigated terrorists in the 90's. Not like it'a all his fault, it's the whole DoJ mentality, but you have to wonder, why the disparity between enthusiastic and energetic prosecution of Libby, versus the years of playing Keystone Cops against the worst scum in the world?

Lance was also pretty harsh on the FBI at times, saying that they were foot-dragging even now on building their terrorist database to "connect the dots," because to do so will only prove how much they overlooked in the past. It's like the fear of Able Danger, nobody wants to admit that enough info was on hand to get serious about fighting terrorism pre-9/11, and the DoJ and other agencies just plain blew it.

But I find it really weird, that we (US government) pours so much into doing so little (convicting Libby), while blowing off things like the terrorist database project Lance says was junked, which would be really useful and helpful for the future. It's a failure of priorities.

[... I Have Freakin' Had It ..]

A lot of republicans have had it..
Any that don't know that are in deep denial and delusion..
2008 will be like no other Presidential election.. BAR NONE..
If half or MORE of republicans DO NOT VOTE, I would not be surprised..

NONE OF THE ABOVE..
would send a serious message to BOTH parties especially 3rd parties.. The shadow government has made a miscalculation.. Republicans are starting to catch on.. I am seeing it..
