This is the allure. A lot of supposedly smart people think they're so enlightened when the embrace so-called progressive ideas. Their social experiments usually flop, but they don't let the data interfere with their rantings.

Racism isn't liberal or conservative. Most white racists are Republicans and most black racists are Democrats, that's just how it is since the Southern Strategy took hold of the party of Lincoln.

Here's the problem: I knew this stuff before reading the article and without need of refernce to studies.

Yet on every item the republicans are both on the correct side of the issue, AND on the defensive. Republican so-called leaders lack some combination of guts and brains sufficient to know they are in the right, and to insist upon it.

It's hard to avoid the conslusion that blacks are the most racist of all.

Black politicians make it clear that they are running for office to represent only blacks.

Anytime a black person is caught breaking the law the cry of racist is raised to divert attention away from the crime.

The left has traditionally used racism as a weapon of class warfare.

The numbers don't really seem to bear this out. From the article: "In House races, white Democrats are 38 percentage points less likely to vote Democratic if their candidate is black."
