Keeping tabs on New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson as he seeks the Democratic nomination for president ...

SNOW-BILL: He shakes hands. He gives campaign speeches. He smooches babies. He even lends a hand to try to get his campaign vehicle out of a snowbank. Richardson's campaign trip to Iowa late last week coincided with a nasty blizzard, and a blogger who spent some time with the governor revealed Monday that "Bill ended up getting out and pushing at least once when his car got stuck." Richardson campaign spokesman Pahl Shipley confirmed the report...

"The governor actually (did) get out of the car and push in the middle of a driving snowstorm. ... It was one of those horizontal snows. It was probably 10 degrees." Shipley said ... they paid a passer-by to haul them out with his big pickup.

SAY WATTS?: Former Oklahoma Republican congressman and star college football player J.C. Watts recently gave some political love to our gov.

The U.S. News & World Report said Watts likes Richardson in the White House race. "Personally, I'm a Bill Richardson fan," the magazine quoted Watts as saying. "I think he has the Bill Clinton touch with people."

GEORGIA ON HIS MIND: Another blogger reports that a recent Georgia fundraiser for Richardson took place at the home of Rutherford Seydel— media mogul Ted Turner's son-in-law. Turner owns massive ranches in New Mexico. The fundraiser, which Richardson attended, was co-hosted by former Georgia state Sen. Sam Zamarripa, according to blogfordemocracy.org.

Flame away but keep an eye on this guy Richardson. All of the people shouting Hillary a) aren't looking at her southern negatives, b)her lack of experience as an executive whereas they endlessly flame Duncan Hunter for the same reason, c) the negatives attached to her HUSBAND. C) (a hypothetical)Obama could potentially split the black vote among the dems. They would need a reconciliation candidate acceptable to all--Richardson would fill that bill.

I'm not fear mongering, unlike so many on here who insist on supporting certain candidates because failure to do so will put Clinton in the White House. I don't know who is going to win in '08--neither do the fear mongerers. But if I were going to Vegas and they were taking bets on the 2008 presidential race. I'd put $10 on Richardson for the Dems.

Bill Richardson? Wasn't he the Clinton bag-man at the UN, the boy who was ordered to find a job for Monica Lewisnski? Can this be the same Bill Richardson? Certainly, I must be mistaken. That Bill Richardson couldn't possibly be thinking about becoming President of the United States!
