What does any of this have to do with Anna Nicole Smith or the lunatic comic from Seinfeld?
You sound a bit paranoid.
Would you rather she try to do something positive with the hand she's been dealt in life, or just give up and become a Paris Hilton?
I respect what they do for others. But this book seems contrived to prove to the world that the Bush family "cares." Which they do, and don't have to prove IMO.
I hate to say this, but while the Carter children's ideas are just as screwed up as their fathers, I think they turned out fine in the sense that they are contributing members of society.
As far as your comment about never being a liberal...well, you forget the other part of that famous saying (badly paraphrased and murkily attributed) but here it is again:
"Anyone who is not a liberal in his youth has no heart. Anyone who remains so as he matures has no brain!"
I'm mostly just kidding, but how one becomes a conservative can take many paths and there is no "perfect" way.
I've never heard of Schlussel. But I do agree that Jenna is no Anne Frank. Took some nerve for her to make that comparison.
She is young; let us make allowances for the fact that she has the naivete of the young too.

You must not pay close attention to how certain people try to bring immigration into every discussion whether it is about "24," Zebras, or anything in between.
Reminds me of the famous Broadway story. When the play Anne Frank debuted on Broadway, there was a scene in which the Gestapo is searching the house asking about the Frank family. During one matinee a young child in the audience shouted out, "They're in the attic!" Every actor on stage fell down laughing. It took a full minute before the play could continue.
I have never been a liberal because of the nonsense they preach and because how much they hate and want to destroy things. It is people who have heart who do not become liberals as defined presently.

Debbie Schlussel's blog is so poorly written that I wonder if it was written by her teenage sister. Her piece also
reflected a woman lacking maturity. I think she should give up trying to be a writer.
