"You're either with Ann, or you're with the liberals."
You seem to have adopted another premise of the left. Either for or against... I don't agree. We're all Americans. The Dems may say we're at war with each other but I define it as heated discourse. I don't hate the left. I don't hate anybody. We're all in this together and I hope conservatives don't start adopting the ideological 'warfare' mindset of the left. We're at war with terrorists, period. Disagreement is healthy. Just because the left has termed any debate with the right as warfare doesn't make it so..I hope.

The right should be standing by Coulter. We don't have that many heros...Ann Coulter a hero? For what? While I appreciate her wit and way with words (although she is at times a bit strident and over the top) if she weren't a leggy blond with passable good looks no one would know who she was.
Today's true heroes are the men and women wearing the uniform in public service be they police, fire or military. Let's not confuse the two.

Great post!! My latest blog was exactly the same, poking fun at the way one can now buy their way out of guilt.

Go back and read what those women said and you might get a different impression.

She also advised the widows to pose for Playboy before their 15 minutes of fame ran out. Again, a trashy and low class gratuitous (and not witty) comment.

Ann got the attention that she craves at the expense of the conference. It isn't courage that drives her, but ego. Sorry, I haven't figured out how to undo the italics.....I respectfully disagree. I think Ann sincerely cares about the country's state of affairs and combats ignorance and stupidity the best way she knows how - with her sharp wit and sharp tongue.
Can any one point out this rookie HTML code dilemma I'm having?

Nice try at trying to obscure the issue by being obtuse though. Irony bump.
When I see Malkin, Medved, and the other 'conservative' gnats trying to gain publicity at the expense of Coulter; I never suppose they claim to speak for "conservatives."
That you diminish your claim from Coulter speaks for 'conservatives', to 'ah, well, um, the conservative "side"' is noted.
See tagline . . .

"I don't suppose it's occurred to you that we'll see a lot more of these kinds of VOTERS in the future;" By all means... let's appeal to young voters by using a shock-jock gutter mouth.

I did and I respect their right to say what they said out of respect for the tragedy they experienced. Thus, I have nothing but disgust for Ann Coulter's cheap, juvenile shots against them.
Recall, she really did not even attempt to treat them with respect, she called them b-tc--s.
Enough with her, she shames our cause and FreeRepublic.

I support her without condition Me too. Have you checked her site today. What a gal. And if "fag" or "faggot" bothers you then I have thousands of words that would drive you up a wall. That was light stuff. Too bad that thin skin hurts so much. Check out the potty mouth liberals.

Good point. How easy it is to overlook the heroism of our soldiers..They ARE the true heros.
I will describe her as a good role model because she is one of the few people left that I respect and admire. Sadly, there are fewer and fewer as time goes by.

"Enough with her, she shames our cause and FreeRepublic." Amen to that! She is not my Representative. I didn't vote for her. She is a tacky mouthed opportunist.

Lke the "heroes" of New Orleans? Out there looting with the best of them? Wearing a uniform does not make anyone a hero. Best you not be the one confused.

This tepid rush to Ann Coulter is a good example of why Newt Gingrich resigned when he did. It's no fun taking the lead and then turning around to find your backers are no where to be found!
When it comes to back up conservatives are as chicken as they come. There motto should be "When the going gets tough, the tough get going, down the road and out of sight."
If we don't have the smarts to stand, not behind, but beside our greatest advocates then we can expect to have a revolving door approach to heroes.
I saw a great post earlier today that outlined some of what Newt had accomplished on our behalf and it's quite a list. Yet, at the first sign of trouble his fellow Republicans stood by him until the first sign of the other side striking back and then they became very noticeable by their absence.
After all the BS that the Lefties throw at us day after day, month after month they are the first to stand up and yell when someone exercises their freedom of speech. The rule in my house when I was a kid was "sticks and stones might break my bones but words will never hurt me." What good is freedom of speech if as soon as you say something your opponents object to you are shouted down by your own party?
I really want Newt to run, but I am greatly concerned that we as a party simply don't have what it takes to put him out there and then stand by, not behind, him.
