HURST Police at about 11:45 a.m. captured a black steer that had been on the loose for nearly two hours.
Before being caught, the steer wandered onto roadways, was shot multiple times with tranquilizer darts and found its way through a McDonalds drive-through lane.
The steer got loose about 10 a.m. in North Richland Hills somewhere near the NRH20 water park and made its way across the Tarrant County College Northeast campus, according to police.
Heres a timeline of the steers romp through North Richland Hills and Hurst.
10:06 a.m. reported at Starnes Road and Davis Boulevard in North Richland Hills as a steer in the roadway.
10:13 a.m. reported at Hightower Drive and Davis Boulevard.
10:30 a .m. reported at Davis and Smithfield Road.
10:56 a.m. on Highway 26 in North Richland Hills.
10:58 a.m. reported crossing the Tarrant County College campus in Hurst.
11:15 a.m. at Airport Freeway on the east access road in Hurst near Precinct Line Road. The steer wandered through the drive-through line at the McDonalds restaurant.
That wasnt a very good place for him to be, said North Richland Hills police Sgt. Ken Bounds.
Then the steer entered a creek off Bedford Euless Road in Hurst and, at about 11:30 a.m., authorities had shot it several times with tranquilizer darts, before leading it into a fenced area near a building where it was captured.
Probably wanted to suggest people eat more chikin.
would have been interesting has the steer somehow gotten onto TX181/121/I820...
at least they didn't off it as would have happened in some
other places...
