Yup, them KJV only folks have made an IDOL out of the translation.

It should be obvious to anyone with an ounce of sense that the ONLY way to understand 'scripture' is to read it in the ORIGINAL language!

(Pity the poor Spainard, Frank, German, Italian, Korean or Hindu that cannot read the ENGLISH language KJV!)

I'm sure glad there are many folks who HAVE desired to know the facts from the original languages.

Even more, the one's of that group who want to let the REST of us in on what they mean by giving us (no doubt to the best of their abilities) what the old languages are saying, but putting it into something I can understand.

(Listen in to a bunch of our teenagers talking amongst themselves some time. WE need an 'interpreter' for that!! ;^)

Well, Elsie, very often you and I dont agree on many issues, but on this issue of demanding that one must use only the KJV of the Bible, I am in complete agreement with you...

I also agree with you about the teenagers...tho my younger son is now 32, I rarely understand what he is talking about, when he decides to talk to me about his job(hes an engineer)....at that point, I just roll my eyes, and say, as long as you are good at what you do, and are happy doing it, and you make a fine living, dont give me the details, as I dont understand a word of what you are saying(I guess at that point, having an 'interpreter' would be handy)

Anyway, glad to see that you are open enough to allow for the ability of versions of the Bible, other than the KJV, to be totally acceptable...I will admit, I had you pegged as a KJV only, and I am very glad to find out that I was wrong...
