Well, the guys stunk up the joint this week. The only thing that excited me was the Coke commercial. Ryan still has that weird gay panic thing, especially with the Chris Sligh hug at the end.
1) Blake (JimmyWalker)- Your beat boxing is old and tired. Stop it. Please. I didn't like the song. I really didn't care for him this week.
2) Sanjaya (Shyamali)- Stupid intro. He can hula. Why am I not surprised? Looks like his sister! Really creepy. His hair was gayed up. Singing still sucks. Really sucks. He'll make top 12 with the help of that moronic teen vote that is also deaf. Sadly, someone more deserving is going to get the boot as a result.
3) Sundance (FatBoy)- Don't do Pearl Jam again. Not feeling the love this week. My ears are tired of being screamed at. At least he groomed his beard. Sundance, STFU.
4) Chris (Tmberlake)- Sat in the stool, kiss of death. Sang like crap. Country? I hated it. Nasal.
5) Jared (LoveBoat)- Yawn—he plays basketball. Stevie? Again? His singing was—bland, boring, uninspired. He has that Ace Young outreach of love down pat. Trying to act sexy can only get you so far; you still have to sing well. Very karaoke. Paula didn't like it either.
6) Brandon (Who Cares)- Pointless. Dull. You’re a nice kid, but that sucked. Pack your bags.
7) Phil (Nostferatu)- I bawled from boredom. So did my furniture. Zzzzzz. Awful. Wow, he sucked ass. Bad song choice. Phil, buddy, dressing yourself in the dark leads to all sorts of fashion disasters. Don't attempt it again.
8) Chris (FraggleRock)- Yawn. I.Don't.Care.

I can't watch AI. Being a voice teacher, I find most female performances to sound the same. All belt and lavish vocal gymnastics. Somebody please sing the melody already.
The other night I watched "Celtic Woman". Pure tone, honest melodies, delighted audience. The songs made me weep as if my heart was singing "with" them. Not powerful voices, yet so pleasing to listen to.

What really kept me going last year was seeing each week how Taylor Hicks would p$$$-off Simon yet again...and his sly grin...knowing he did it.
Ain't nuthin' like that this time around.
