Now that this important piece of business has been addressed, maybe they can get on to other affairs, such as prosecuting all the child molesters running around up there. Priorities are a little misplaced to say the least.

Bill Clinton was impeached for perjury. Lying under oath before a legislative or judicial body, i.e., purjury, is a crime. Let's not short-change him... he was also impeached for the far more serious crime of suborning perjury from other witnesses, specifically Betty Currie.

If only Ethan Allen and Robert Rogers had had this crowd available to weigh them down. There would be no need to sell, cede, or abandon Vermont to Quebec. Vermont and all of the US would still be a european colony and they could have all that great socialist medical care, which is what the bulk of these aging hippie non native "Vermonters" deserve.

One joint too many it seems. Somebody needs to advise them that there has to be legitimate bases for impeachment according to the CONSTITUTION (something liberals don't believe in) called high crimes and misdemeanors. You don't just impeach because you're a terrorist-loving, American-hating, communist-supporting pacifist who happens to hate the sitting president.

You know .... you're entirely too hung up on this whole "truth" thing. That's just not how we decide policy anymore now that the Democrats are in charge. Now... it's all about intent. Don't worry about the evidence, worry about your perception of their intent. THAT's the kind of thing that makes policy nowadays.
You just can seem to keep from being stuck in the past can you?

As one who live in Vermont now..... These stupid Bush lied/people died type of feel good votes; both local and federal are a waste of time. The folks supporting them are the definition of the loonie left. The majority of the ones driving this type of B.S. in this state, are living off of their trust funds, and are from Mass. or N.Y. ( Bernie Sanders is from Brooklyn IIRC)
Please keep in mind their values do not represent everyone in the state. There are some true conservatives. Bashing the state as a whole ( a F.R. sport it seems) serves no purpose other than driving wedges between the folks who need to work together i.e. conservatives.
For all those wanting to write the state off ... I say look around you, your own utopia might not be as great as you think.

Not one of these charges is true. If this statement is true and no proof exists, then the ones spreading the rumors are guilty of sedition, and it would appear that Howard Dean, John Kerry, Teddy Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi and a host of Democratic leaders and mainstream media should have special prosecutors on their a$$es just like Scooter Libby.

The Brookline Town Council did this last year. I had my Republican City Committee pass a resolution declaring war on them.

Was browsing on the DU threads this morning to see what they were saying and found:
Scooter coverup much larger, about forged Niger documents
With what we already know about Joe Wilson's clairvoyancy (and Cannistraro's) concerning those documents, if they want an investigation...I say:
Bring it on!

The Brookline Town Council did this last year. I had my Republican City Committee pass a resolution declaring war on them. During the 90's my Dad lived in Brookline (near the Harvard Medical Area...lots of "progressives")for a while.I'd visit him and stay with him regularly to help him out and keep him company (he was along in years then). During these visits bumper stickers were regularly removed from my bumper.I consider myself lucky that nothing worse than that happened to my car.

I concur...! Vermont is a wonderful place. About 43% of voters are decent conservatives. The liberal/"alternate lifestyle" crowd targeted Vermont years ago and, led by Howard Dean, Madeline Kunin, Bernie Sanders, et al., have successfully forged a noisy majority.
Nevertheless, there are many, many good true American conservatives in Vermont. I'll name two: (1) John McClaughry, former speach writer for Reagan and Town Moderator in Kirby, Vermont. He may even be a Freeper. (Who is "RealVermonter?") Runs the very thoughtful Ethan Allen Institute, and (2) Paul Presault, who after years of fighting Bernie Sanders and Company up to the Supreme Court and back, eventually won a judgement for taking his property without just compensation.
As for Maple Syrup, there is only genuine maple syrup. I suggest you look up Goodrich's Sugar House on the internet. They ship nationwide. One of the largest in the State. Run by true fiscal and social conservatives, as many of the sugar operators are.
Bottom line. If you all want to do something about Vermont, it wouldn't take many to buy a place in Vermont and start a conservative takeover. There are a lot of real Vermonter allies up there. Only problem is that it gets a bit cold in winter.
You learn how to win hearts and minds and votes in Vermont, and conservatives will be empowered to stop and reverse the liberal slouching toward Gommorah.

They'll obviously believe anything they are told by the MSM and Democrat politicians despite how many times it is proved false.
This is what we get when we interpret freedom of speech and freedom of the press to mean freedom to lie and dishonestly attack others without consequence.
