"A liberal Democrat on another board was saying the Democrats would consider it a "moral victory" if JulieAnnie won the election."

So do I and those Conservatives who've examined Rudy with any depth. The damage his nomination/election would do to the conservative position would be felt for decades.

“And oftentimes, to win us to our harm,
The instruments of darkness tell us truths
Win us with honest trifles, to betray's
In deepest consequence.”

'They are of a free and open nature, that thinks men honest that but seem to be so, and will be as tenderly lead by the nose as asses are.'

And where is this phantom conservative president you support? Reagan doesn't even fit your description. You're asking for someone with the accounting mind of Scrooge, the revolutionary fervor of Jefferson, and the compassion of Jesus - good luck.

Just love how Alan Colmes and the MSM have become the heroes of the right wing.

Giuliani, a frequent keynote speaker at NARAL abortion banquets, will appoint people to the Supreme Court who agree with him?

Comforting! /sarc

Yeah, but as the Rudybots would explain to us, "but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but". Seems they're falling all over their butts. ;)

The premise that "Presidents generally appoint people on the Supreme Court that they believe agree with them" is only part of the story.

We know from our own experience that a president's judicial nominees are subject to intense scrutiny by outside forces----the president's political supporters. The presidential nominee may or may not survive the scrutiny-----I give you Harriet Meirs.

Irregardless of the crumbs he's throwing to conservatives about potential nominees, Rudy is joined at the hip to NARAL, Planned Parenthood, and the most radical pro-abortion elements.

You can bet your bottom dollar judicial picks will be scrutinized, decided upon, and seated, by the NARAL crowd. NO WAY would NARAL permit their boy Rudy to install conservative-leaning judges.

Anybody who believes Rudy would seat conservative judges is smoking something illegal.

The pro-abortion savages have commenced the killing of the innocents. Who knows where it will stop with Rudy controlling the levers of government, and NARAL whispering in his ear?

If you got a "keep a RINO out of the White House" ping list going, could you please add me to it? Thanks!

"We" are people who just joined up today--ones on the watch list for a spare screen name, or perhaps a paid member of the Giuliani camp.

This election is really eye-opening. I am amazed at the level in which many 'conservatives' will go in the name of whom they think is a 'sure win'. A 'sure win' will most likely turn into disaster not only for Rudy but for the GOP. And if by some reason Rudy did actually become President, the Demonrat Congress and Rudy will become a little too chummy like has been warned and we can thank the enablers for allowing liberal policies to be enacted to no end. Rudy should not be President.

And Presidents appointing like minded people to the courts suprises you how?

Because Rudy has also claimed he would appoint strict constructionists.

heroes? hardly. the MSM is going to do what it does, which is attack and expose weaknesses of Republicans and protect Dems at all costs. if a republican candidate has excessive baggage and weaknesses, a la rudy, they will have a field day. count on it. it is WHAT THEY DO. as far as alan colmes, he serves here to highlight the common sense proposition that presidents appoint judges consistent with their own philosophy. i totally agree with that common sense proposition and that is why i put no stock in the conservatives banking on rudy appointing judges consistent with a prolife philosophy, when his philosophy is pro-choice. what i find puzzling is the rudyphiles whining about the media exposing rudy's weaknesses, when we all know that is exactly their modus operandi. and if rudy can't take it NOW, in primary season, how foolish to put him out there in a general election.

We well be a lot better off once Republicans start to realize that Rudy is the man and quit cherry picking old meaningless quotes, articles and video clips.

I love it. We're supposed to judge a politician by what he says now when he needs our vote - not what he did in the past when he didn't need it.

You're a perfect fit for the Rudy Borg. They probably have a suit already in your size.

Are you saying to ignore a person's history? It is quite possible for a person to change, but is usually more believable if it is done without trying to win a nomination for POTUS.
